I did this a few years ago. The colors are right, just some custom graphics and this would have made for a sweet flyover for GameDay and the game.

For sure. I am just talking about the view behind the set. Before sunrise it will look great lit up, but I'm thinking later on the camera is going to be facing the rising sun with the Campanile back lit.

In the past, the Blue Angels arrived into town at the Oakland Airport on the Sunday before the shows. So I suspect we will miss them by one day.

(Looks like they'll be in Reno Oct 5 & 6)

The entire glade is fenced off but there is a large grassy area between the fenced off area and Doe Library. Even if you can't get into the pit area, there are other areas where you will be able to see and hear the action. Porta-potties are everywhere.

Yeah but if the pit opens at 330, arriving at 5 might be too late for a decent spot. Honestly have no idea what to expect

It's chill, some drunk students and smells very much like weed. The Pit closest to the stage open at 3:30am.
