No. The coaches are. Mendoza was on fire throwing down field. We were moving the ball. Instead we repeat the 4th quarter playcalling of tge Miami game, but this time down two scores instead of up two scores.

If you're going to run a fake pass on a conversion, why not put in your 4th string QB instead, their D is not going to know who he is and he will convert that easy pitch.

Clock mgmt wasn't the issue on that last drive, couldn't move the ball.

Wilcox was worried we were going to score too fast, so he started trying to burn clock, waste downs…..

We were moving the ball with Mendoza throwing down field. Wilcox/Bloesch appeared to want to be trying to score and not give Pitt the ball back with time left, so we got conservative with the run up the middle for nothing, blown up screen pas on second and and long…

Spavital is not a great OC, but he knew what Mendoza was good at: throwing downfield.

Wasn't planning on even watching today as I can't take anymore of Wilcox but went pretty hard last night and too tired to get off the coach.

Man that first half was absolutely quintessential Wilcox. Horrible decision after horrible decision. Just giving up on multiple series.

If Fernando wasn't such a stud, this game would already be over.

We are playing on the East Coast against an undefeated ranked team and this is considered a "should easily win" game. Gotta love phans.

Its halftime, I feel Cal can still win. The team has not been playing great, but there is room for improvement. They HAVE to do a better job of taking advantage of the opportunities though. That means no more:

1. Drops on TD passes.
2. Pre-snap penalties
3. Bad clock management decisions.

First down play action deep sideline route is a poor percentage play, the CB is not looking at play action, he is defending Hunter going long and has the sideline to help him, but we almost hit in anyway. However, if we instead ran the TE deep up the middle off that play action on first, he would be wide open for an EASY completion and another first down or more.
