I think its a bad idea to add another long travel game given Cal's existing schedule. OSU is the better choice for that reason alone.
I could get on board if the Hawaii game at Hawaii is played on the Saturday of Thanksgiving day weekend. Having it be the last game of the season mitigates some of the travel impact.

At least slide over to set up a straight kick. But hard to argue with the result. My only concerns are a few dumb penalties, bad backfield tackling, and going for two when completely unnecessary. Great half overall. Vatikani and Ott make a big difference. We could still lose this tho, lol.

True. But they have a (not-so) secret weapon that can tilt the balance in their favor: Wilcox and Bloesch are on the opposite sideline.

It would be a bowl like trip for Cal fans and would be a selling point for landing Sagapolutele and other Hawaii recruits, even a positive for recruiting Polynesian players from the mainland. Might help us build our OL and DL… we could also play week zero, giving us an additional game or more in season byes….

The key i want to see is continuing to throw downfield off play action on first down and no running up the middle on 2nd and long or 3rd and long playing for punts or FGs.

The best Cal QBs in the past twenty-five or so years I've been a Cal fan have all been tough. I mean, I don't want them taking unnecessary risks, but they've all had a swagger about themselves and played as if they were indestructible. I love seeing that, as it instills confidence in the rest of the team.
