Also, IMHO, a big improvement over the Giants motto: "If they don't score, we've got a good chance to at least go to extra innings..."

Between redshirt frosh, like defensive ends Gabe King and Deandre Coleman...
I vote this delusional fan suggestion #1 of the season to date (it's a popular one for sure). Any seconds?Cal Junkie;563338 said:
MB, any chance Deandre Coleman gets a look at OL, since we are thin there and he has all the measurables to be the second coming of Tarik Glenn?

Ain't gonna happen. The staff loves him where he is, he just needs more consistency but his potential is sky high.

You're forgetting (or did not see) MY suggestion to try Moala at fullback! Even though it was semi-tongue-in-cheek, I HAD THE #1 DELUSIONAL FAN SUGGESTION of the YEAR, dammit!

You're right: Bigelow should switch to DB. They don't seem to love him enough to play him, after all.drunkoski;563361 said:

And please don't ask me what's a motto.
You're seriously advocating for DeAndre to switch to the OL?drunkoski;563443 said:
You are seriously comparing him to a true freshman coming of two major injuries?

Apparently they are in CO. Tiny took a dump already and backed-up the toilet with what was referred to as a Duraflame. Go Bears!

It was a rhetorical question. Switching Deandre to OL makes about as much sense as switching Bigelow to D, AKA none.drunkoski;563538 said:
No. Where do I say that?

I don't think the logic of moving a guy who played oline in hs is all that bad considering the depth issues for both positions.
Do you really think we can take a guy who hasn't played a single snap as an OL in two to three years (I believe he didn't play OL his senior year of HS) and has never played OL at the college level (or even practiced it) and suddenly move him from DL to OL, during the season, without any time to learn the position, the responsibilities, Cal's blocking schemes (much more complicated than HS), etc?Cal Junkie;563719 said:
I think it's a viable consideration given he played OL in high school. We are 2-3 deep on the DL with more Howitzers on the way and we are very thin on OL. Even if we load up with 4-5 frosh OL someone like Deandre Coleman would stagger the OL classes.
In fact it's a pretty darned good idea. It worked well for Tarik Glenn. Other than petty insults I have not seen one counterpoint that has given me pause to reconsider.
