Whatever. Their ugly / loud stadium is still in Washington.

That one Duck poster has it right...dumb a** Husky thinks they are safe or something. The Juan de Fuca plate under the Cascadia Fault line is a "megathrust" fault...the biggest type of earthquake in the world. If that sucker decides to play, they'll be massive devastation from Oregon all the way up to Puget Sound. Not even Tosh will escape in his canoe.....

CMS will be the nicest and classiest stadium in the conference. For what ever reason, some people think all new stadiums need to be flashy, futuristic, airplane hangar meets space ship looking things.

Love all the chatter on that thread about earthquakes and tsunamis. What about attacks by mega sharks and giant octupuses?

I don't get the appeal of Husky Stadium, even if it's getting a makeover.
Sure, they're getting rid of the track, but it's still going to be an erector-set-looking monstrosity, under that awful gray rainy weather (why not put a roof on it?) and covered by those fugly overhangs that look like quotation marks. As in, the Huskies under Sark are trying to build a "top football program".
No wonder they're complaining about Memorial. Remember: Hatters gon hat.

yep! In doog land hatters love to hat. Uw is a joke to me. The fan base has become a poor mans notre dame. They are not elite.

Even their so-called "amazing" new B-school building is nothing to be jealous of. I've been up there and it's fugly as hell. Looks like the box Haas came in.

The UW campus itself is thoroughly unimpressive as well. A bunch of drab, gray gothic-style buildings with a bunch of out of place newer buildings popping up all around. Like a poor man's Cal or UCLA.

I would rather play in Balboa Park with 20 people watching and beat UW than sit in the New Memorial and watch Tedford inexplicably lose to them ever again.
Huskuries rightful place is runner up in the two girls one Apple Cup. Nothing more.

Like a poor man's Cal or UCLA. Half of the campus is on the edge of a hill with a big, busy road going by and the other half is a sorry excuse for a college town neighborhood. Sucks to be a UW student.

Well hey, I thoroughly enjoy this website and think many of you guys are incredibly funny and clever. I expect you guys to hate on Washington's football team, stadium, and athletics. That is cool, and you guys are usually tasteful anyway!
You are free to call Husky Stadium ugly(I admit the facade of Memorial Stadium is MUCH prettier), however you cannot hate on the University of Washington's campus! I respect that beauty is relative, but almost every ranking places UW's campus at the top.
Examples:

http://www.thebestcolleges.org/most-beautiful-campuses/

These are just a few of the many, and I just have to mention that Cal is only mentioned on one Bleacher Report ranking. I have seen pictures of Cal, and it looks pretty, but UW's campus really does have so much going for it.
Plus UW's buildings are categorized as COLLEGIATE Gothic. So if you have a problem with Gothic, you have a problem with Princeton, Yale, Duke, Penn, Purdue.... and it goes on.

Cal's overall campus degisn is severely gimped by some absolutely aweful commie style buildings built in the 50/60's. But the classic core is pretty amazing, with paths oriented to showcase the golden gate... bridge wasn't even there when it was designed.

Anyway, this is not an architecture board. Though I do want to mention that some of those posters on Dawgman are morons, and I am sorry that you have to experience that! I would gladly flip them the bird :headbang
