What is your prediction for the first loss in our new stadium?
Honestly, looking at the schedule, and Tedford's history (and the fact that Memorial should provide an even better home field advantage this year and next), I would be surprised if we saw a loss before 2013, and even then we have a pretty good advantage IMHO.
For example, Oregon in Berkeley has always been a strong game for Cal under Tedford (even when Oregon seemingly outclassed us). Add in the new stadium and pumped up 65,000, and just a little luck, and that is over...
The first Big Game in the New CMS will bring out a strong game from us, even more so than usual, I think.
With those two out of the way, our home slate looks downright nice for a undefeated-at-home 2012. (IMHO, Washington has NO CHANCE given the relative emotions going into the game... a bunch of people who dont understand the problem, against a bunch of people who think a massive betrayal has taken place... Game over).
Into 2013, Ohio State will be yet another CMS pasting of a big boy come West (especially if they manage to win in 2012).
The rest of the schedule is TBA, but USC at home would be the best bet, I think, and with some favorable development on our part, we might escape that...
That is my sunshine for this rainy day.
Cal will be 7-0 at home going into 2013, 13/14-0 at home going into 2014. :newnana:
