Do you see the Dodgers not picking up Forsythe's contract option next year and going with Taylor full time at 2nd base?

Absolutely. For $9M/year, it's not worth it especially with Taylor emerging as a star. His numbers are nearly identical to Seager's this year. My only hesitance in saying Forsythe will be gone is that they traded away the top 2B guy in the minors (Willie Calhoun) for Darvish. Still unlikely, I'd think.

We have an abundance of riches who are young at 2 -- Taylor, Hernandez (lol I put in K_ke and it got censored lol), heck even Austin Barnes (the new Craig Biggio).

Yes, the team could be very good for a number of years. The Dodgers have almost $100M of unproductive payroll coming off the books in the next 2 years (Crawford, Ethier, Gonzalez, Kazmir, and others). Signing Darvish or another solid pitcher is a real option and still getting payroll to about $200M.

Dodgers come from behind again. Aggressive base running from Puig and #34 from Bellinger. Aaron Judge is in a prolonged slump. I'll crystal ball 42+HRS for Cody this year.

Wood sits at 14 - 1 Dodgers win late. Darvish goes tonight. The way the rocs and d backs are playing wild card is not a lock.

The remarkable and mighty Dodgers win yet another in the bottom of the 9th.

was at the game tonight. Darvish was on the struggle bus. only got 2 k's and honestly had a lot of trouble finding the strike zone. gave up 3 solo shots.

somehow the doyers manage to pull it out again in the 9th. wow....

Puig has been truly a great teammate this year. He has embraced the #8 spot, continues to play great defense, runs the bases well, and cheers on his teammates. Is nice to see him get the walk off love tonight.

Giants update: got smoked in Miami yesterday but are coming home to a once again beautiful AT&T park thanks to three round the clock days of groundscrew work to put the field back together after the Lady GaGa carnage.

Nice to have Adrian back in the lineup. Granderson replaces Pederson. A great upgrade!! That young guy Fulmer w was throwing heat in the7th inning. Dodgers got a bit lucky tonight.

So who thinks the Dodgers will break the season win record of 116 wins??

Dodgers pull it out yet again. Acquisition of Granderson looking brilliant. Hits grand slam in 7th. Puig makes another great catch and hits game winning home in 12th.

So, who thinks the Dodgers will win 3 out of the next 5 World series?

am i the only one who's not enjoying these constant late came comebacks against bad teams? i get that it's good to have the ability to come back from a deficit, but we're getting behind on bad teams and trying to flip the switch late... not a pattern i'm comfortable settling into

I think coming back is a good sign. A mental toughness that may well hold them in good stead moving forward. Offensively they are not playing good ball right now. The relief corp with a couple of exceptions is doing a good job. Winning 117+ games is going to take some luck and I too would like to see the Dodgers stream roll all their opponents. I'm sure there are many Giants fans hoping the Dodgers come up short. So even if last night's win wasn't pretty I'll take it.

I agree. In the past, I had assumed that if the Dodgers were behind going into the 7th, 8th and 9th innings that it was an L. I would just go to bed. Now, I try to stay up to see what is going to happen, almost assuming that something will.

Although the teams they played recently/are playing now are below .500, the Dodgers are missing Kershaw, have had injuries to just about the entire rotation, just got AGon back, are now missing Bellinger, were getting little from Joc, K*Ke, Forsythe and Utley, , and have still won 7 of the last 8. Crazy run they are on. And I'm really, really happy for Brandon Morrow. He is pitching well.

Giants fans want to see the Dodgers win every one of their remaining games except the last four in the post season. At this point the only thing that can crush the Dodgers, their fans and this thread is a 120 win season and a blown 3-0 games lead in the World Series.

38 games left. Dodgers need 29 to get to 117. A 76% winning percentage is needed. That's a tall order.

To me, the most hilarious thing would be for them to get swept out of the Division Series (with Kershaw having one of his characteristic postseason faceplants).

The regular season is pretty much a done deal at this point.

that trade for Granderson sure looks like a genius move right now.

also amazing that Puig had zero trade value last year when they tried to dump him. having a breakout season and his interactions with hitting coach Turner Ward are priceless

Picked up Puig for just $4 in my fantasy baseball league. That's keeper value for 2018.

Lost 3 out of 4 to the lowly Padres, swept in a doubleheader, 3 game losing streak, and 8 of their last 9.

It's just the calm before the storm. Not that I expect a WS title but this little spell doesn't worry me. There are a lot of guys getting some rest and getting healthy, while giving the FO the chance to see some new players Darvish is a legit concern though. I'm not so sure he's one of the 4 best starters at the moment.
sycasey

This kind of winning pace probably couldn't last forever, Dodgers were due for a correction. Still should be the favorite in the postseason.
