Gurriel suspended -next year- for racist gesture. Tomorrow it's Cowboys vs REDSKINS!

Wood gives up one hit in 5 2/3 and is pulled. I realize this is the type of game that could easily end 1-0, but I think a guy should be allowed to pitch past one mistake. He was doing very well.

I think Ted Cruz is on his 8th beer.

I love how they show Bellinger striking out on breaking balls down and in and then show him "finding himself" when the Astros leave balls out over the plate

How many more starters can Hinch throw in relief? This pen is a nightmare

Biggest 9th inning for Dodgers in a long time. Tight series. WS will go back to L. A.

Wait, whuh? Since when did they allow two National League teams to play against each other in the World Series?

Yeah, I know. I'll never get used to the Astros in the AL, and the Brewers in the NL. In my mind, they were quintessential teams for their former leagues.

Apparently they made the moves to give each team rivals in close geographical proximity: the Rangers for the Astros, and the Cubs for the Brewers.

I think they should be moved back. Put the Brewers in the AL Central, pushing the Royals into the West. Put the Astros in the NL Central. Then all would be right in the divisional sports universe.

Alex f'ing Wood. What a great performance. Props to Morton too. That was extremely stressful but I feel good now.

Yep, you got Kershaw tomorrow to go up 3-2. Congrats to the Dodgers on ending the nearly 30 year drought.

True but many young lefties struggle with good breaking balls from righties down and in. On the flipside, I also saw signs of maturation from Bellinger last night. He rarely shortens his swing and goes the other way, but he did just this on his two hits.

Gurriel might have jinxed his own team. Against another team it's offensive but you don't do that to Jackie Robinson's team. Big mistake, could be a major curse.

I think the $32 million per year man constructively ends it tonight.

Still 3-0 this post-season despite:

1). Joke baseball / inability to throw a slider
2) worst strike zone I've ever seen
3) all normal rules of baseball being thrown out the window.

And now Morrow gets shelled. Roberts' overuse of the bullpen has come back to bite him in the arse.

Correia's homer burned up on re-entry but this game is still not Houston bullpen-proof

I'm not sure what #3 is referring to, but the plate umpire is positively Angel Hernandezian with the strikes he's calling.

Yeah, it seems to me that the strike zone has been pretty generous in this game.

Dodgers must be thinking they can tag whoever pitches, so don't send Taylor.

Verlander maybe the only one who can win this game

It's amazing to me that the Astros have no one better than this.

Just like few hitters want to come to AT&T and play for the Giants maybe few pitchers want to pitch in this Houston ballpark? Although I guess for a crack at a ring they'll come now.

Edit. I was replying to sycasey saying he was surprised at Houston's bullpen.

Most combined runs in a World Series game:

They get to an 0-2 or 1-2 count and throw something in the strike zone, which of course goes for a hit. It's dumbfounding.
