im not saying kragen. dykes is saying kragen. hes listed as a starter. im just going off who dykes is listing as his starters. most coaches define upperclassmen as juniors and seniors. if dykes means seniors, thats another way of defining upperclassmen that isnt usually used.
the depth chart doesnt support dykes argument. if he were to say something along the lines of: we're young at KEY positions, then thatd be accurate. we have a young qb still, we have a young LT, our depth is young at RB behind lasco, our corners are young. otherwise its another exageration thrown around by dykes. again, its yea, yea, whatever you say dykes, your results will speak for itself, so whatever you say. in the end its his W-L record that will matter. not whatever bs he cooks up for people and whether or not you want to believe it anyway
Find another team that started less Senior or upper class starters last year than us. Find me a team that had an OL of FR, FR, SO, JR, FR.
Now go find one that will start less Seniors this year.... Waiting...
How about this. Find me a team that played less upper class period last year. Players that played the most... QB FR, FR... RB JR, FR, SO... WR SO, SO, JR, SR, FR, SO, JR, SO, JR... OL SO, SO, JR, FR, FR, FR, FR, JR, FR... DE... JR, SR, SO, SO... DT SR, JR, FR, SO... LB JR, FR, SO, FR, FR, FR... CB JR, SO, FR, SO, JR... Safety JR, FR, SO, FR
Last year receiving most of the playing time... 3 SRs, 12 JRs, 14 SOs, 17 FR... 15 upperclassmen and 31 lowerclassmen took most of the snaps last year. 1/3 of our players.
Also 8 of those 15 upperclassmen that played a lot last year are gone.
You can bitch about any statements you want, but he is right. We are young and in 2015 we will actually for once have a bunch of JRs and SRs starting and playing a ton of minutes.
