Luke didn't blow up? Wait so he didn't pass for 60+TDs and 3 INTs or is that not blowing up? He didn't win AZ POY or is that not blowing up either? He didn't blow up at the Elite 11 and climb up from 18th to one of only 11 of the Elite? That isn't blowing up? You are making a good point, while missing mine.

The point was supposedly the staff offering guys early who then somehow blew up. Luke was a tremendous high school QB. He had a great soph season followed by a great junior season before we offered. His senior season was fabulous, but not surprising at all given his already great high school career. For whatever reason, though, his recruiting never blew up. It is not unheard of that great high school QB is lightly recruited, and sometimes there is reason. Dano Graves from our own backyard had a great career and "blew up" as a senior getting NATIONAL player of the year. Only pulled an offer from AF, and is now a back up at Cal Poly. I really like Luke and am glad to have him, but no matter what you and I think, he could turn out to be Manziel or he could be Graves, or most likely something in between. Nothing has really blown up about him since we offered. He continued to be a fabulous high school player with not many high offers. Until he shows it on the field at Cal, he just doesn't prove your case. Now, I think there is a good chance he does show it on the field, but I would have said that based on info available at the time we offered.

He went from over 2800 yards 35 TDs 6 Internet 1150 or so rushing yards with 10 TDs to over 4200 yards 61 TDs and 3 int... 25 more TDs which is an AZ state record and set the national record for highest completion percentage. .. While rushing for slightly over 1200 yards and another 10 TDs

that is going from really damn good to amazing! What would he of had to for u to consider him to have blown up if an additional 1400+ passing yards 25 more TDs and 3 less ints on top of all already impressive stats. Winning a state championship and AZ POY award. That is blowing up and not just a Ho hum type of good season.

QBs don't usually get tons if offers late because they always commit early. Once a team has a QB they rarely go after another. Because of that QBs always try and get their top choice in early. Once they do that school will usually not offer another QB for the most part. He still got an offer from UCLA who of course didn't have a QB at the time. Other players blew up like Tre Watson who rushed for a monster year in a tough division with like 50 TDs. ... that is blowing up having a huge senior season. Same with Enwere as well.

We not only got Luke but also Chase Forrest and the two are having quite a battle for the backup position.
Forrest may have only gotten 2* but that's on the so-called raters, not him.
2014 got us two quality QBs.
