Luke didn't blow up? Wait so he didn't pass for 60+TDs and 3 INTs or is that not blowing up? He didn't win AZ POY or is that not blowing up either? He didn't blow up at the Elite 11 and climb up from 18th to one of only 11 of the Elite? That isn't blowing up? You are making a good point, while missing mine.

The point was supposedly the staff offering guys early who then somehow blew up. Luke was a tremendous high school QB. He had a great soph season followed by a great junior season before we offered. His senior season was fabulous, but not surprising at all given his already great high school career. For whatever reason, though, his recruiting never blew up. It is not unheard of that great high school QB is lightly recruited, and sometimes there is reason. Dano Graves from our own backyard had a great career and "blew up" as a senior getting NATIONAL player of the year. Only pulled an offer from AF, and is now a back up at Cal Poly. I really like Luke and am glad to have him, but no matter what you and I think, he could turn out to be Manziel or he could be Graves, or most likely something in between. Nothing has really blown up about him since we offered. He continued to be a fabulous high school player with not many high offers. Until he shows it on the field at Cal, he just doesn't prove your case. Now, I think there is a good chance he does show it on the field, but I would have said that based on info available at the time we offered.
