Cal will go to CH in 2017, Tar Heels will come to Berkeley in 2018.

Going to Chapel Hill sounds like fun.

Interesting.

Does this mean we are traveling to both Provo and Chapel Hill in the same season? . . . or am I getting my years mixed up??

Yep. I'd definitely go to this game.

More interested in this road trip than Fort Worth.

Even should we lose, at least we can hold our heads up high knowing that all our players are functionally literate.

Very good matchup. I like it. I wonder if this is our new AD's work or if this was already in the pipeline.

This would be a much better thread on the basketball board.

A long, long, long time ago (as in back when I was in college), I think Sports Illustrated ran a "best and worst" feature on college football. IIRC, UNC and Cal finished first and second in the "best venue to watch bad football" category.

Yep, @ Provo and UNC in 2017. Too bad the UNC series isn't reversed - we have UCLA, Oregon, and Furd at home in 2018, and just U$C in 2017. Gotta expect a FCS bodybag game in 2017 @ home between UNC and BYU, unless the P5 decide to ban FCS games.

F*** Ft. Worth. Wouldn't go there even if I had 14 million extra American Airline miles.

Yeah, gotta think that the 3rd OOC for 2017 will be a FCS or a really bad FBS team in Berkeley. How about no FCS teams on the schedule for 2016, with @SDSU and home vs. Texas and home vs. Nevada...seems like we've had a FCS team on the schedule forever!

Me too. I would also like to play LSU and/or Georgia for a home/away series. A game between the hedges would be awesome.

Either of those teams agreeing to play at Memorial is a dream

I've never been, but have heard nice things about TCU. What's turnoff with Ft. Worth, NYC? Just curious.

I didn't say it would happen. I said I would like to see it happen. And as GB54 said, LSU traditionally has had no problems traveling out of the south. And they like to drink. I love New Orleans. It would be an awesome trip. Georgia ... yeah, they never leave the south I don't think. Auburn played SC years ago in a home/away series, but I can't recall off the top of my head the last time Georgia has come out west.

If "out west" is anywhere west of the Missi' River, they played ASu in Tempe in 2008, Missou in Columbia in 2012, the Buffs in Boulder in 2010, and UArk in Fayetteville in 2009 and 2005.

Tempe is close enough. It means they aren't opposed to it as a default position at least (like say, florida).

In the early 80's we had a pretty good string of road trips...Florida, Georgia and Michigan. Went O-fer.

Had a nice win at aTm to open up the 1983 season. (Thank you, Ron Rivera!)
