Your assertion that Colorado is full of highly intelligent, slightly unmotivated students who just want to ski and smoke weed is pretty comical. Colorado isn't close to being on the same level as UC Santa Barbara academically. The best comparison is San Diego State and even San Diego State is harder to get into than Colorado.
ASU = where dumbasses from California go when they can't get into the decent Cal States
Colorado = where wealthy dumbasses from California go when they can't get into the decent Cal States
You actually made me look into San Diego State with all this smack and have to admit I am impressed with how far they have come. When I was a senior in HS (Del Mar, Torrey Pines), anyone could get into SDSU. Anyone. Its where the short bus kids went. They still rank for **** in all those silly arbitrary academic rankings, but impressed.
Don't think you'll find a single academic ranking that has CU lower than 6th in the PAC. But do find this line of smack entertaining, we never got this in the Big 12.
FWIW BowDown -- it was 1990, but personally speaking, USC was my safety school. Got into USC, UCSB, Pepperdine, Washington, Colorado and was waitlisted at fUCLA. CU had just won the MNC and I love to ski. No brainer. Couldn't have given a rip less about education back then. So guess you had me pegged. Wealthy dumbass who go into every school I applied, including UW.
