My dad used to keep a sailboat in Chula Vista. Great access to the bay. My big takeway from Chula Vista was the ex-con at the bar who wanted to talk my ear off after a day of sailing. Strange, really. Very strange.

Not my type of place but you know its not real bad. Close to the Beach...Close to downtown San Diego. A little cheaper than most spots in San Diego.

Sanchez is tough. He needs to have a big game.

Calvin Munson is a fan favorite. He also plays on the baseball team. Very good all around athlete. He came out of no where last year to become one of our best linebackers.

I really like Eric Judge. Good hands at a wide receiver. Not the fastest wide out, but runs good routes and catches the ball.

Cal only exists on the athletic side. On the academic side, they are University of California at Berkeley. Kind of like University of Texas at Austin. University of Oklahoma at Norman. You don't see anyone getting butt hurt over those schools. But I get what you are trying to do. Trying to expose something about another school makes you feel better. When a kid applies to Cal, he isn't applying to Cal, he is applying to University of California t Berkeley. There are 10 "Cal's" in that sense. The California education system calls you University of California at Berkeley, not Cal. The NCAA and Media calls you Cal. Which I have no grip with. So idk why you do. Now if a kid applies to SDSU, he doesn't apply to CSU San Diego. That school does not exist. When filling out his application, he/she will not find a CSU San Diego. Instead, the California educational system has our official name as San Diego State. They do that for a few other CSU's.

Oh and everyone on this board, don't let SteveAztec fool you. Yes, he and the mods on that board did not get along. But that wasn't the reason why he got banned. The reason why he got banned was because in 2011 he didn't agree with a poster on that board, so he went to the guys WORK and tried to get him fired. The second that surfaced, he got banned.

Hey I have no problem with all the official and unofficial school names. Was just responding to a guy who thought our official name was Cal State San Diego. Was just pointing out that our official name on the academic side of thing has been San Diego State for many moons. The same with San Jose state and Sonoma State. They are not called CSU San Jose, CSU Sonoma. The CSU system changed their official names.

Neither. I am on my own side. Pros and Cons to both. Steve is absolutely right that there is a lot of drama on Aztecmesa, as you guys can tell. It does get the most traffic though. So, a lot more discussions over there. No fighting or drama on steve's site. Not much traffic, but you get that small group of friend feel. Everyone knows everyone. What steve did in 2011 was really messed up and not the way to handle his gripe. But hey we all make mistakes, learn from them and move on.

Two of my close friends out here have SDSU ties. One is a work colleague and a SDSU alum and the other's father is an alum and a huge and influential booster. I have nothing but good things to say about Aztecs. I'm really looking forward to this game.
