Very satisfying win and absolutely great ending.

Team has gone from the very bottom (1-11), the tragic passing of Ted Agu, almost going bowling last year, to now being 3-0.

My top 3 wins of SD era:

#1: Texas (2015)
#2: Northwestern (2014)
#3: Wazzu (2014)

It's a low bar but yes, of course this is his signature win so far.....I trust it won't be anymore by the end of the season.

It's better than losing.

Without a doubt this SD's biggest win, it was ugly but they did win! Now can he get at least 3 more wins out of the remaining 9 games? I say he can, no one in the PAC looks unbeatable!

Any kind of win against Texas at Austin is huge. Definitely SD's biggest so far.

Any road win against a top P5 team is a good win. Texas is still Texas. This was a good road win, against a sort of down UT. If this is the biggest win in the SD era, okay but then Cal needs to get better...or has more to prove. I don't think OOG visiting teams are favored very often in Austin. And yup, they put up HUGE numbers. This was a crazy shoot out. Good solid win, not great win...but a win is still a win. Beating a CA school will solve things. I can see it this year.

This game was the "must win" game of the season for me personally. I wanted to win this game more than any game other than maybe furd.

Thanks for putting it all into perspective. The bar is low (sample=6 wins). But the Bears raised it a little today. The Bears did every little thing they need to do to win, including a near 180 on special teams [field goal grrrr]

Looking at our schedule, we have a chance to raise the bar 7 out of the 9 P12 games left. We've only beaten 2 teams on the schedule - Oregon State & Washington State. Even if we win those two games, to go bowling the Bears have to beat 1 or more teams they haven't defeated in the Dykes era. That/Those win(s) will then be Dykes' biggest win(s).

Great pic ... thanks.

So, 3-0, at the top of the Pac12, nobody with a better record ... hell yeah that was a big win, a total team effort.
Neeners may put it down but our coming opponents will see a Cal team that did NOT quit or die, and WON.
Great win for Sonny with his history in Texas ... on to recruiting and wonder how many recruits on our list were there.
Enwere had a helluva "homecoming" and Khalfani proved he can run between tackles and has "football speed".
One game at a time.

If I were a Texas fan, I would be very encouraged by this game. They've found a quarterback. I know our defense made him look better than he should have but he's so much better than Swoopes. I think Texas will improve as the season goes on. Maybe they even get to a bowl.

I'm a Sonny skeptic but c'mon guys. it's probably 2007 Oregon since we won a big away game on the national stage. Seriously. and as much as you may wanna bitch and moan about our D USC gave up 41 to THE FURD in a LOSS, Bama got scorched for 40+ IN A LOSS, etc.... WE WON IN AUSTIN. It's a BIG DEAL.

Cal wins by at least 30 points if Swoopes was QB.

This is easily the biggest win. Great for Sonny and our recruiting in Texas. It's a shame we almost coughed up a 21 point lead but people saw what we can do. We obviously still have a slow defense and can't pressure QBs but that shouldn't surprise anyone who is paying attention.

I predict Texas will have a good season under Heard. I think we created a spark in them.

But, yeah, we've never beaten Texas, one of the most storied programs. And we beat them on their turf. In front of 100,000 people (Were there actually 100,000 people there?)

Seriously: Remember during the Tedford era how we would sucked during road games? We would play scared? Well, this was like a freakin' home game for our offense.

Beating Furd in 2009 after they smoked both SC and Oregon was an away game no?

We play Furd in Furd in odd number years. That was also the Tiger Woods Booing Game, and because Cal fans were so loud, it was like a home game.

Until last night, Cal had never beaten Texas--ever. And we beat them in Austin. When we beat Tennessee did we care that their program was down? If we had beaten SC at any time in the last 12 years we would not have cared if it was a time when they were down. A win against a big name program is a great win.

When we beat Tennessee, they were ranked 15 (3 spots below us). And they ended up playing in the SEC Championship game.

It is now that Stanford only gives us 10,000 tickets and places us in the upper corner of the end zone like any other visiting team.
