Yes, I'll be taking a 5 hour 'break' from work starting around 10am to watch the Bears at the bar across the street. Might stop back in the office at halftime just to show the flag, but in reality it'll be an even longer lunch than is typical during march madness.

It's fun because we haven't played in weeks. It's fun because it's Cal football. It will be the last time we see Goff, Lawler (possibly), Rigsbee, Treggs, Anderson and others in a Cal football uniform.

It's not as fun as regular season, as for much of the season we always had RB or Pac12 game in the back of our minds. It's not as fun because Pac-12 bowl matchups are uninspiring.

I'm gonna enjoy it!

its a pretty shitty bowl game, so not really. i think different people have different mindsets. For some, a bowl game is always the exclamation point on the season, for others it depends on the bowl game, and for some the rivalry games during the season will always be the most impactful.

I'm in the middle group... its better than the average game, but since its a crap bowl it isn't as important as a USC/UCLA/Stanford game.

THen again, those rivalry games have been pretty lame for a while now too, so maybe my mindset will have to change...

I hope that this is not true. I'm hoping, and nervous for, a feel-good win for the program. I'm hoping an 8th win will be good for recruiting. I'm hoping an 8th win will inspire the returning players to work hard and feel good about the program this offseason. I'm hoping a big victory will send the seniors off happy; they deserve it. I would love to watch video one last time of the team together in the locker room singing the fight song. This COULD build momentum...
