We're still behind the "Big Four".

Sonny doesn't exactly project excitement about the incoming class.

I heard his words conveying otherwise ... not sure what you might be looking for?

I'm looking for excitement and enthusiasm, rather than a drab monotone. He needs to show some spunk about the quality and talent of this class. Unfortunately, I saw none of that. Maybe it's just not in his character, although I've seen his locker room demeanor after some of our wins, and there is excitement and enthusiasm there.

He went into detail about what their criteria was for this class at specific positions and was obviously pleased with the results, naming names, listing player qualities ... he's not and never has been a Trump-esque speaker, thank gawd.
Listen to what he said, not how he said it.

To you. Your choice. Your preference. You're certainly entitled.
I listen to content. Great content from Dykes, IMHO.

I'm really liking this class, we have some playmakers in Stoval and Zion. I'm really like Clark, totally reminds me of E Dickerson, if you get a chance watch his full hudl highlights. The receivers are all big and accomplished. It was interesting to hear that maybe a few of the bigger safties could be moved to backer, I like the idea of getting more athletic there. On the D line side it looks like they're recruiting athletes and bulking them up to get the speed they need. Corners all look great and the oline is huge and looks to be quick. All in all a great class with many already enrolled. I think the playmakers especially Stoval will have a huge impact on how defenses play us, no more all out blitzs or sitting in zone without paying the price. The other thing I like is we have receivers that are big and attack the ball, should see a lot of pi penalties in the next few years. And Ulave is still here. I read a few months back on a different site that they are probably moving away from the verticle set. Can't wait for spring ball!!!

Yeah, I agree. I watched most of the short recruit highlight videos and one of the groups that really stood out was our DT & DE recruits.

They all look to have good first steps and great awareness to get off blocks and tackle.

Just curious and not intending to stir the pot here, but what's our situation at LB and safety since we only got one LB and no safeties this class? We got a lot of DBs which I have no problem with in the pass happy Pac-12, but it seems that they have nice size but perhaps a bit small for safety. I know we got a few last year. No tight ends either.

One other thing Dykes mentioned was the recievers brought in last year and especially this year are larger then in the past which will lead to alot more physical play. The offense doesn't really feature a tight end, I bet if they could get an athletic te they would take him but otherwise would rather stick with the large receivers.
