Defensive Line is actually owning the gaps. The LBs and safeties are struggling atm getting off blocks and attacking the ball carrier. They're all trying to 'contain' him once he's busted past the 1st line. You can't let a RB have the time to see the field..you gotta close space.

Is the coaching on D just terrible, or what? Allensworth was out of position and the LBers were pushed out of the way. I just don't know what the issue is....

Until Dykes puts some emphasis on recruiting and developing a defensive philosophy we will continue to see teams run wild as we are seeing tonight against SDS. I see no reason to think we will once again be last or close to the last in yards given up.
