I am trying to put together a comprehensive list of our injured Bears. Would appreciate any additions/corrections. Thanks

Tre Watson - confirmed that he is out for season, surgery, lower leg, trying to get a medical redshirt to come back.
Pat Laird -
Billy McCrary - Out for season
DRob - confirmed that he is out for season, surgery, lower leg.
Stovall - ?
Ray Hudson - out for season per Cal via mvargus
Bankhead -
Singleton -
Devante Downs -out for season
Saffle - confirmed, out for season
Zeandae Johnson - out for season
Rubenzer -
Evan Rambo - out for season

I'm sure I'm forgetting someone... Did Marloshawn play on Friday?

During the broadcast, espn said Stoval was out gir the season. No idea why. Maybe he pissed off the coaches

I don't remember. Hopefully someone here knows and will correct me if I am not recalling that correctly.

Why would you say that (i.e. "Maybe he pissed off the coaches")?

The poster in question tends to make outlandishly negative posts.

Our D has been relatively healthy but it's amazing we even have a semi functioning offense with our top 2 RBs, WRs, and starting TE gone.

Just kidding. I have no idea why he is out. The fact that no injuries are disclosed causes endless speculation.

I am not a big injury guy - but I think I heard ESPN pronounce that Laird was out for the season?

Don't think that's accurate.

He got hurt before the season started and it was announced then that they did not expect him to be able to play this year.

Regarding Lair, I thought the said that but when I rewound the tape, the said out for the Evening.

OK, I updated Hudson's status.

Fingers crossed on Laird, Downs and Rubenzer.

I have this nagging feeling I'm missing someone . . . like a DE/OLB who was projected to start.

Johnson and Rambo f you want to include them. Is Turner injured?

Might as well include Rambo, McCrary, Zeandae and any others on that initial list that came out before the season. Not sure if I'm missing someone.

Yes.

They're still hoping Hudson can come back at some time this year. If he was out for the year for sure, he'd be on the list with the others.

Don't all these "lower body" injuries sound like torn ACLs? Maybe a popped Achilles or fractured tibias and fibulas. There's always the Longshore fx ankle.

Not sure how it sounds like anything. They're not saying anything about the injuries at all.

Stoval played fir a few plays against Washingtonnor Oregon. Did not appear injured.

But he did not seem to have the same speed he had last year.

Not really...

They could be one of many things, including hip, hamstring, knee, ankle, foot, etc. There is no need to detail the specific nature of the injury. Why do people feel they have the right to know? Either the guy can play or he can't. There is no need to provide any additional info....

Perhaps since historically the nature of injuries were disclosed, people have an expectation for more news.

Also they used to say out, probable, possible, likely. I have not seen any of that in the past few years, though I think the Nfl still does that.

Not sure if it is entirely a privacy issue or a desire to confuse the opposing team. A friend once played college football said he could have care less if his many injuries were disclosed.

Sometimes fans would wish players a speedy recovery, send letters or in some other way convey their compassion. Now that every player chooses to isolate hinself from the fans and media, there is somewhat of a you and me thing.

Best players on both sides of the ball out. Can we catch a break?

Best WR, best TE, best RB, starting DE, starting OLB, best defensive player (MLB) and starting safety, all lost for the season, though some chance remains for Hudson to come back.

Well that sucks... Have decent depth at MLB at least.

Guys, is your gut telling you that it's gotta be the synthetic turf? As in, season-ending injuries happen to every team, but maybe there's something about our turf that makes such injuries more likely?
Sebastabear
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I just don't understand how virtually every injury seems to be of the season ending variety. How is that possible?

I know injuries are a part of the game, but this year has been unbelievable.
