You have to know your players' strengths and take advantage of them. McIllwain started the season purely as a runner. Now they use him purely as a passer? It is the run/pass threat that makes him effective, but mostly his run ability.

Yup. Now he will get another year (cause Cal) but here is the thing - he isn;'t doing what the number 1 job of a coach is - recruit. Yeah Yeah. It is Hard at Cal. But one of the things that is also clear as day in this game is that UCLA has a HUGE advantage in speed on us. That has been the case for the past 2 years with most (all?)
