The best part of the game was in the second half when the announcers were like "woah Cal is moving the pocket and it's helping the offense!" And they were totally right. And we just stopped doing it. BOMB.
He is a freshman. I have no idea yet if he "sucks." He shows flashes, but is also inconsistent. Like a freshman.Vegas Bear said:

Regardless, you have to play the best option. There have been at least two losses that could have been wins if we do that.
Just a little bit of offense in this game and we win easily. Are there no other running backs besides Laird? Can no one get open on a short slant? Or maybe the play calling is that bad?
That said, the defense did better than anyone against WSU this year and the offense did enough to get us frustratingly close.
I always liked Kevin Riley and would take him in a heartbeat over who we have right now. Although, I think Bowers is close.

Garbers appears to be the best option we have - which is kinda sad. What happened to our recruiting prowess for top QB's and RB's? I am not downgrading our starters but we have a freshman QB who is barely a div-1 ready and a walk-on RB.
Impressive creativity, to be able to filter out all the angst and come up with this DURING the game! All I could think of doing was yelling it at the top of my lungs, which was a pretty bad move, considering my next-door neighbor's name is Baldwin and he has little kids who woke up and started crying.01Bear said:

Edit, a day-and-a-half later: I didn't really yell this. No hard feelings towards Beau Baldwin, who is trying his best. Sure, some mistakes have been made, but...

You can say a lot about BMac, but you cant say that. BMac runs rough and gets yards after contact. The wildcat calls for straight running through the first two levels. He's hard to bring down, has moves and speed.
