Just had a lightning strike about 30 miles away. It's been quiet for a while, and the rain should be gone in a few minutes, too.
I had this on to monitor the lightning strikes while watching Stanfurd vs U$C:

It was firing away, with about 8 to 10 strikes per minute in the map area!
