the better a team is, the harder it is to enjoy the small things, like winning.

IIRC Alabama has an RFID system for people who leave early because it's such a problem.

Success causes people to focus on the smallest of problems. 100% of the time. It's human nature.

But accoring to the broadcasters last night Cal has gone through a huge drought in Seattle, our last win coming waaaaaaaay back in 2015... you know, we had a ONE GAME LOSING STREAK in Seattle.

Yeah, they kept making the point that it was so long ago some old dude named Goff was our QB.

UW hasn't won in Berkeley since 2016 when some guy named Jake Browning was their quarterback.

That was surprising to hear that Garbers was chirping so much. He comes across as more of a calm quiet dude.

Supposedly the UW fans behind the Cal bench were talking a ton of smack to Weaver...which only fueled that madman even more.

Does he? If you watch the TV broadcasts you can see he's very chatty on the field. I'm not surprised if a lot of it is smack.
