We spent 90 minutes in The Grove post-game. As we were leaving, we spotted a woman wearing a Cal 89 jersey. The shoulders were comically oversized on her.

We congratulated Evan's mom on his game and Cal career. She beamed and was justifiably proud of Evan and his work ethic.

It's almost like someone at Cal wrecked Weaver's ride and wrote Ole Miss and Corral all over it....

Weav is one of my favorite players ever. He backs up his smack talk EVERY SINGLE TIME and has zero fear.

Weaver is definitely old school in terms of his attitude. Playing in the late 60s - we learned a lot from our military vet coaches - many of whom served in WWII. The "take no prisoners" approach. Before our league championship game in l967, our coaches actually brought out three Omaha Beach veterans/survivors to relate their story to us. We broke the huddle with "Omaha" that week and years later I learned that we terrified our opponents with our yelling "Take no prisoners" on kickoffs and returns. Weaver can't carry the load all year and I think the defense is starting to adopt his battle cry.

He's got a lot of Madison Bumgarner in him. Off field rational and thoughtful. On field a competitive terror.

I saw an article about draftable seniors. Weaver wasn't on the list. Smh

Love Bum, but I think Weaver is a lot more intellectually gifted than Bum.

Need a grass roots movement to get him in the Heisman conversation. The PR staff should at least have a plan in place EW puts up huge numbers against our nest 2 opponents.

The way he laid on top of multiple Ole Miss players he tackled on the last drive to run the clock... genius. Then to stop the QB on the final play from an OLB position. This is the current generation's Jerrott Willard or Zach Follett. We'll still be remembering him fondly a decade plus from now.
No offense to those guys, but they aren't in Weaver's league

Disagree.
