It was the official calbears.com website which announced this. If they say Fox purchased the tickets, why not believe that? Would you accuse them (Cal) of lying? For what purpose would they create a false narrative? I am skeptical of whether he bought the tickets or was essentially gifted the tickets in order to create a narrative.

I am absolutely not accusing anyone of lying. If they say he bought the tickets then he did.
However, what I am questioning is if he paid face value for said tickets. Probably not. I wouldn't expect him to either.
Therefore, how much of this was his generosity and how much was a publicity stunt?
I have nothing against publicity stunts, but I'd like to know the truth here, because it is much more impressive if he dug deep to do this.
