Cal gives the students great seats for both football and basketball. Not every school does that.Big C said:HoopDreams said:

It was a different world... and a more fun one. Now everybody has to go through a metal detector, show their vax card, wear a mask and not bring in a bag. Then they have to sit way back from the court and we have to have a Security Czar on the court during time outs. (That's somebody different from the host/MC, who is somebody different from the PA announcer.) We need to have all this extra crap because people have viruses now and there are terrorists and shooters now. (Also, kick-ass entertaining promotions and stunts that need to be run.)
We know they didn't have those risks back then because we are all here now, alive, and that's proof positive.
I can't believe more people don't love Cal Basketball now and come to all the games. I can't fathom why the program is in the red.
We had the absolute worst seats in Harmon. Right behind the basket about 15 rows up. Completely obstructed view. When we could, we would always sit somewhere else. That night we were in our seats. Leaning left and right, straining to see. Best night ever. I have nice seats now. They are not hard to get. I would trade them in a heartbeat to be back in Harmon. Though the few times Haas has been full and rocking have been close.HoopDreams said:

Very different. There were Cal students who were born before Cal's losing streak to UCLA began, and graduated from Cal before it ended. It was like a slow death by over 50 cuts, at two cuts a season. And it gave UCLA students and fans bragging rights over us for 25 years.bearister said:
What about Wyking's -16 in a row streak?
