With the POSSIBLE exception of Askew, Cal has no one that can create their own shot. Combined with bad outside shooting and a predictable offense, its very easy to defend.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised by the result. But I am a bit surprised by how awful Cal's in game coaching was. 17-1 Davis run and Fox has no answer.
Neither the football team nor the men's basketball team has a workable offense.
Why do all our guys late in the program look so raw? The stench is bad Fox. Already.

At least in previous years we played alright defense (mostly cuz the game was so slow)... gonna be a long year I'm afraid

This program is in way worse shape than football, which is saying a lot. What a disaster.

Well, if Fox says we lost because we didn't play better defense I won't argue with him.
Maybe Fox is keeping the offensive playbook under wraps until the Pac-12 season.

Imagine if Askew had stayed closer to home at UC Davis.
Okafor should be fast tracked. No plays for him. He looked like he was bored. At least he is strong and can catch the ball.

Bowser: I suspect, if you check the record, he might have gotten four stars from one rating service, but no way was he a consensus four star.
Regarding Joel Brown's many journeys to the basket and then nothing productive coming from it: That is his signature move! Every player has a signature move!

+3 years (one for every major COVID variant since the original strain)
+1 year for the lack of practice facility
+1 year so that Knowlton and Fox can retire at the same time

Fox is the Number 1 coach in player development, he said so himself. However, Cal needs a dedicated practice facility for him to show that (because we sure aren't seeing it now). But unlike other schools in California, we can't have any practice facility for less than $125 million. It will take a few years to raise that, maybe longer if we continue to be the worst P5 team, which we will because Fox needs the practice facility to demonstrate his "Number 1 coach in player development" chops. Catch 22. Even if we built the facility in 3 years, you still have to give him 4 years to develop players using it. So 8 year extension, right? Longer for every year the money isn't raised and work doesn't begin. There is more to coaching than wins and loses.
