K-state beat a good LSU team

SDSU lost to a ranked Arkansas in OT. On last play bradley got all the way to the rack but his layup rolled off. He scored 23 pts on 9-20 shooting, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. 1 assist and 1 turnover.

Next up is 15th ranked TCU. Their top gun is 6-7 senior forward. We will see if any of Cal's 6-7 forwards can defend him since this seems to be fox's recruiting priority. TCU must laugh every time they see cal on their schedule in any sport.m

4-1 USC beat byu by 6. Cal plays usc in a week

6-0 AZ won Maui invitational beating number 10 creighton. AZ's center scored 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Cal plays them in 10 days.

Kelly is averaging a double-double after 4 games

UC Davis is 4-1 but no high D1 wins besides Cal
UC SD is 2-4 with loses to Sac St, Seattle u and Youngstown state
Southern is 1-3. You know who the one win was against

Asu is 5-1
Uw is 4-1
OSU is 3-1 but lost to Portland state
Ucla is 4-2. 2 loses were against top 20 teams. They beat Pepperdine 102-50
Utah is 4-2
Colorado is 3-3 but have two top 25 wins
Oregon are 2-2 with loses to #3 Houston and UC Irvine (who have big upsets every year due to their Monty-level coach)
Stanford is 2-2 with loses to Wisconsin and SDSU
Wsu is 2-2 with a loss to prairie view, but beat Texas state by 22

If he stays healthy and keeps this up. It was the Maui Classic so the whole family went down to Lahaina from Honolulu. First time they have seen him play in person since he was at Cal. Having a blast introducing his teammates to his favorites katsu musubi for those who won't try poke.

Some nice highlights of the guy who was PAC-12 All Academic at Cal, Played PG for Ohio State two years ago when needed and scored 33 here, 23 in the second half. Plus 8 rebounds and 5 assists.

Vanover had 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks, 1 steal and 1 assist in Oral Robert's loss to Utah State.

Utah State went to a small lineup of shooters after getting destroyed by Vanover in the paint.

This is an even better video of Sueing's highlights against Texas Tech, really worth watching:

Got a lot of scrapy points, and still looks left handed dominate with a funny shooting release

But he looks much stronger, an improved passer, a even better rebounder (he always was a good rebounder)

But overall a more explosive player with a high hoops IQ

Theoretically we could have Sueing, bradley, Kelly and vanover on this years team

Oregon State hung in there with Duke today lost by 3. We are going to be a BDW of the worst kind.

There are plays that he drives from the right side with his right, and multiple shots that he makes inside shifting from his left hand to his right. He can use both but everyone has a dominant hand, and being a lefty is an advantage.

But yes, Sueing, Bradley, Kelly and Vanover are each the best player on teams that are each better than Cal. Together those 4, plus others added in the last 4 recruiting classes, would be a really good team. Really good.

Yeah, when people were predicting how many wins we would get and where we would finish most were not taking into account the rest of the PAC-12.

We are far and away the worst team. Everyone else looks to be improved. We better hope we beat EWU.

I didn't watch it closely enough so he's probably has improved his right hand. But all D1 guards and forwards MUST be able to use both hands to dribble

When I say left hand dominant it's based on how I see a player handle and score hoop. It's the first thing you watch for before defending a player

For example, how a player crosses over both directions, if they can do the same move with both hands, whether they can shoot layups well with their off hand, etc

But yes, most players favor their strong hand

I"m fairly certain that Sueing and Vanover would have run out of eligibility if they had stayed at Cal

Shantay's Portland Pilots gave #1 UNC a tough game yesterday. Lost 89-81. Play Nova today.

maybe you're right but unless both are now using their extra covid year, they would still be eligible at cal this season

both also were injured for almost an entire season

They beat Nova by 12. Bring Shantay back to Berkeley. Have him hire Matt Barnes as assistant coach.

If Sueing doesn't get hurt and have to redshirt? They would have the COVID year too.

Another game with players Fox could have had:

St. Mary's 68, San Diego State 61.

Aidan Mahaney 20 pts.

Matt Bradley 13 pts, 5 rebounds.
