Never. And I don't think a power conference team has been since there were power conferences. This was EWU's first road win of the season.

That's cheating because didn't Wyking get the -16 dominos in a single season?
That's not enough. Lifetime contract!CaliforniaEternal said:
This team almost took EW to overtime without Askew. Forget Firefox, this effort is enough for a one year extension!

I would not be surprised if theButler game is cancelled. Dont the players all live in one house? Covid symptoms may show up. I hope all the players got their booster shots.

I forgot, is 8 scholarship athletes enough to field a competitive 5-man basketball team? Smh. Clown show.
For me, it was Dana and Channing, about 12 AM, 5 years ago. I heard the gun shot, spun around, and watched a guy drop to the pavement. That was the last time I partied in Berkeley.bearister said:JB was a Chieftain said:

Corner of Durant and Telegraph late at night because that adds gunfire to the ambience.

8 players is enough depending on the mix
We have two legit big. Everyone else are wings/guards
When Lars sat we played a wing because okofor was out, who is a solid rebounder
We did poorly on the boards. He would have helped in that regard
At guard, we were down to 2 guards. With Askew out we were down to 1 so played a walk on who joined the team 3 weeks agobearsandgiants said:

40 years ago I was robbed gunpoint a block from the Rockridge Safeway in North Oakland. Pretty nice neighborhood at the time and not that late. I don't think it's just a matter of where or when, any time and place you find a party you could also find trouble.
Let him stay the year and get the bagel in the win column. Will make the story about our next coach leading us to the NCAA Tournament in 2024 even more incredible for the national media.GMP said:
Has there ever been a single topic as unifying on this board as the belief that Fox should be fired? I've never seen anything like it. He is bringing our community together.
The crime rate on campus is much better now than when I was in high school in the Bay Area suburbs and back then Southside, Berkeley was THE place for people from my school to go on weekends. My kids see Telegraph Ave as a plus. There is a vitality there that you don't get in a lot of places. Yes, as with any urban environment, there is some bad that goes along with the good. I'd suggest you check out some of the areas in SF where young people go clubbing and consider whether you think Southside is "not a good look for recruiting young athletes". Urban areas come with more of everything, and young people tend to like more. For instance, a lot of fogies on this board think Westwood is "so nice". I find it mind numbingly boring. If I were a coach, I would much rather try to sell an 18 year old on Berkeley (maybe not so much the parents).SFCityBear said:For me, it was Dana and Channing, about 12 AM, 5 years ago. And I'd suspect this kind of thing is not a good look for recruiting young athletes to Cal.

There are a lot of things hurting us in recruiting, but the environs around campus on the whole is not one of them.
