But UCSB has lost 3 of their last 5.
Maybe JP isn't all that.

I think we have to do a good, thorough search. Pasternack ain't the only good mid-major coach in the country. We need to get the best up and coming coach (by this I mean both Xs and Os and recruiting) we can get.calfanz said:

Apparently it's NEW money to the AD from a source that has never heavily contributed before.calumnus said:KoreAmBear said:I think we have to do a good, thorough search. Agreed. Supposedly there are major donors that will put up big NIL to back Pasternak, but I would hope they would for any good coach that replaces Fox.

Supposedly there are also major donors that still support FOX and don't want him replaced.calumnus said:KoreAmBear said:I think we have to do a good, thorough search. they are probably Stanford donors, no Cal fan could possibly think that MF should stayBeachedBear said:

He recruits chronically injured players, works them so hard in practice more are injured, and works them harder when they lose to the point of causing major injuries. Totally unacceptable. Criminal..
agree he recruits some players with injury histories, but to be fair, how do you know "he works them so hard in practice more are injured, and works them harder when they lose to the point of causing major injuries?"oskidunker said:

A guess because I never see players injured in a game, except Askew. Plus Fox wont allow anyone at practices.HoopDreams said:agree he recruits some players with injury histories, but to be fair, how do you know "he works them so hard in practice more are injured, and works them harder when they lose to the point of causing major injuries?"oskidunker said:

And Fox BRAGS about how hard his practices are, about working out the team until they barf, emphasizes and rewards above all else playing tough, physical defense (with reports of fights in practice in previous years)….
From his opening statement, something along these lines "I'm going to work them harder than they've ever been worked before and then I will work them some more"....not an exact quote but pretty close....I remember it from his first speech to the team, when you see Justice Sueing looking like "I'm outa here"....can someone tell me where this speech is?HoopDreams said:agree he recruits some players with injury histories, but to be fair, how do you know "he works them so hard in practice more are injured, and works them harder when they lose to the point of causing major injuries?"oskidunker said:

Watch at your own risk. I'm actually surprised Fox hasn't had this deleted.bearmanpg said:

link to reports of fights during practice? (I only heard of a minor shoving/yelling confrontation during the Martin years.
hey, I'm not a Fox fan, but don't like anyone getting flamed based on fake news. Plenty of other legit things to point to such as his poor recruiting, horrible W/L record, lack of any effort to promote the team, in game and post conference demeaner, etc.
And if these things did happen, I'd like to read more about them.
right, because I want the next head basketball coach to be judged on the results on 5 games....calfanz said:
