It is always fun to watch video on new Cal hoopsters. I have included what is most of a full game. I have some comments based on what I have seen.

Wilkinson is a good athlete. He is fast enough and strong enough. Where he shines is accelerating and changing directions. He has a great crossover dribble, and he can crossover and elevate into a jumper like an NBA player, and he shows some ability to finish off the drive. He can definitely drive and kick, although he sometimes jumps before he knows where is going. He plays downhill, which seems to be Madsen's signature style. His high school team is very good, and I assume he regularly plays against top competition. His team plays real defense, too, so I don't think playing college level defense will be a shock.

Less clear is his shooting ability. I did not count but his percentage was not great in this game, though his shot does not look broken. Overall, he seems more like a complementary player on offense than a big scorer. I know traditionalists want this in a point guard, but I think the more offense on the floor, the better. He was fouled at least four times while shooting, but unfortunately the free throws were not part of the video. Also, while he can clearly play defense, it would have been more impressive if he had some steals during the game.

Take all of this with a grain of salt like I do.

Haven't watched yet, but could you tell if he is a good facilitator, or more of "combo guard"?

I read that he played off the ball in the past, but in this game he played a pure facilitator role and his skills translate much better to a facilitator role in my opinion.

He made 1/2 of his shots and one of them was a three. I did not see many assists from him. He gave up the ball quickly and was fouled at least 5 times so he is not afraid of the contact as most were on drives. I like their big man #24 and wing Cooper.
I thought he handled the pressure defense pretty well and when he got hung up in the air he was able to pass to an open teammate. I dont see him starting as a Freshman but he has good tools.

He look like he has some muscle so can drive the lane. The report said he had a knockdown mid range jumper. Would be awesome if true

It is clear that he can get midrange shots with his quick jumping ability off the dribble. "Knockdown" is a lot to expect.
