Missed shots the story tonight. Those are shots we can make. Missed a possible gam winner in regulation. Newell came alive tonight, but missed a key one in OT. Yes, SD State missed a lot in the second half, but we did take what looks like a very good team into overtime. I'm thinking there may be hope for this team despite the losses.

My first time watching them. Certainly many things to work on, but at least they are watchable now.

ASKew JC & KK changes everything, period.The ridiculous turnover amounts pressed shot selection of Cone, attempted ball handling in tight space from non ball handlers. With the dudes in , the threat of the 3 from all spots, & spacing, makes everything much easier.

By "saving the season", do you mean making March Madness? That'd have to be a huge turnaround. I doubt that's in the cards this season*. If you mean competitive in conference (6th-8th?) and an NIT bid, I think that's still quite possible.

If Askew, JC and KK are better than the guys playing right now then they will make a big difference. Not top of the conference but much improved.

A few years back our women lost most of their guards and had a terrible season. After they had enough guards they returned to respectability, i.e. winning most of their OOC games.

I would not bet on it.
Santa Clara may be the best team Cal plays in OOC. They are very good and will likely challenge Gonzaga and St Mary's in the WCC. They have a very good transfer from Arizona who dominated in their game against Oregon the other night.
They've already handled Stanford and Oregon.

Santa Clara is my 2nd favorite college. It is a wonderful place to go to school.

We lived in Santa Clara for 18 years. My two kids went to elementary and middle school across the street from SCU. Every 4th grade class took a walking field trip to the mission on campus.

The schools were across the road from Greek row. Several sororities mixed with fraternities. The number of dads picking up kids after school increased significantly with the temperature and sunshine.

Santa Clara U is a great little school

Their BB program has beat us several times during last several matchups and we often match up against their women soccer team in the NCAA tournament and again mostly lose to them

Agreed. Good hoops and women's soccer (don't know about mens). Good education in a very nice environment.
