Portal watch for USC players. Bronny at Cal.. ? Rich family so no immediate NIL need, clearly dropped off draft radars after this past season so may be looking for more of a developmental coach who can showcase him for the NBA (madsen with tyson), and he sits in as a wing who can play engaged defense. Finally, pretty easy travel for Lebron to fly up to the bay to watch his son. #JustSaying

Plus, Lebron loves Berkeley has family and friends in the area and has always wondered "what if." It is why it is the road game that he attended. It would be a chance to get that missed experience vicariously through his son. There was no way he would send his kid to play for Fox, but Madsen….

New AD at usc, and new ADs like to make their mark by hiring new coaches. Enfield might as well jump before being pushed.

Seared in my memory is the giant bear hug Madsen and LeBron shared at the end of the Cal-USC game.... hopefully it was a good omen!
Was just going to mention this. That was cool to see and proof of a friendly relationship. I would imagine Lebron walked away impressed that night.75bear said:

Recruiting Bronny comes with many question marks but adding him for our first year in the ACC would be a coup. You can't buy that publicity.
Using players to recruit other players has become increasingly common. If (and I know it's a huge IF) Bronny came to Cal, he could use his influence to attract others, and that could be a huge recruiting magnifier. I didn't see enough of Bronny to know if he can really play, and Shaq might be just as inclined to steer him towards someplace like Duke, so who knows.

Bronny can play, but he isn't all-world.
If he's getting huge NIL this year, it probably isn't from U$C's collective. He can make his deals directly. Probably has that know-how "somewhere" that he can tap into.
