Word's gonna get out. This team is fun to watch. Beating Vandy on the road next week would go a LONG way toward rejuvenating this program, a la Auburn and football. Let's do it.

Give me more of the second line. The first line feels entitled and less hungry. They need to step it up because this team is starting to establish an identity and that sequence with the second line dominating and the starters cheering them on was huge.

Currently this team is about at the same level as Bakersfield and Cal Poly. A massive improvement in play would not get them close to the worst team in the ACC!
I should NOT have gotten on after a happy hour!!! My bad!!barsad said:89Bear said:

So… we beat one team by 13, then another team by 18 a few nights later, and we're "at the same level" as those teams. Maybe you're watching a different game?
I understand this forum is for everyone to state their opinions. But honestly, this conclusion of players' emotional attitudes based on a short span of one basketball game seems to be a bit of an overreach.bearsandgiants said:

I'm with you, and I posted much more positive stuff later and after the game in other threads. This was just how I was feeling at the time. And honestly, I think seeing the backups dominate did indeed light a fire under everyone. Andrej played his heart out all game, I'll give him that. But as a unit, in both games, the starters have looked a little lazy by comparison (imo), but that changes as the game wrapped up yesterday. The whole team seemed all in, and I'm excited for what they can do. I really hope the come out EXTRA aggressive and physical vs. Duke and the like, because we do not have the talent to go neck and neck with them without being the aggressor.RedlessWardrobe said:I understand this forum is for everyone to state their opinions. We've all been watching basketball for years. Some nights things are going better for players than other nights. My take based on what I've seen so far is that it appears we have some depth, a nice thing to have. If a certain player{s} is having an off night a team with a deeper bench can compensate for that. To project that the first line feels entitled only 2 games into the season doesn't seem to be an opinion that is tangible at this point. Perhaps later in the season with a larger sample size this kind of stuff can come into play.
Grant Mullins? IMHO the best grad transfer we had before the NIL era.MiZery said:
He reminds me of that Penn transfer we had a few years back
Grant was from COLUMBIA (not penn).MiZery said:
Yep! They seem similar type of player

Yes I noticed your later comments kind of backed off of the original one. And I agree, for this team to be competitive they need to show up for every game full focused. And while the talent appears decent it does not appear overwhelming. My hope is as the season goes on, and the players get more and more time playing together, it will allow each player to learn specifically what the strenghts and weaknesses of their teamates are. Perhaps at that point the perception of our talent level will rise.bearsandgiants said:I'm with you, and I posted much more positive stuff later and after the game in other threads. I highly recommend trying a different hour. Based on your feedback throughout the game, that one didnt seem to make you too happy.89Bear said:I should NOT have gotten on after a happy hour!!! My bad!!barsad said:89Bear said:
