23 year old head coach, son of legendary Pat Summitt of Tennessee, has stepped down due to an improper relationship.
Now I read that the relationship is with a PLAYER and that the player is PREGNANT!

I think in terms of being a coach..he crossed a line and should resign like he did. In terms of being a young male who probably was not ready to be a head coach of young women, who are not really much younger than he is. He was born in 1990..puts him at 26....he's coaching 19-22 year olds. Ultimately (and I know nothing about the player he has/had a relationship with) it's two consenting adults in a relationship.

Wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't already married and a devout Christian...both sighted for reasons to hire a 25 y.o. Seriously, a 25 y.o. in charge of 18-22 y.o.'s? Maybe at Starbucks. What could go wrong? But alas, he married his HS sweetheart. Oh well, he got away from his mom's shadow.

Yes, her having dementia is completely sad.
However, if she doesn't know/understand/find out about this, it could be a blessing in disguise. (I don't think she's nearly that far gone, yet, however.)

He apparently played on Cuonzo Martin's first Tennessee team and Coached at his camp:

"Summitt graduated from the University of Tennessee and was on the men's basketball team for two seasons from 2010-2012. While at Tennessee, he was a student assistant coach under his mother, helping the team from 2007-2009 bringing home two National Championships with the Lady Vols.

He also has coaching experience at the AAU level winning the State Championship with his Tennessee Fury 17U team, and a head coach at the Pat Summitt, Cuonzo Martin and Bruce Pearl Summer Camps from 2005-2011."

Well consider that a very prominent and famous women's HC had an affair with a player at another university before bringing that player as an assistant coach after graduation with to her current ongoing gig many years ago.
But, since this woman is on a pedestal....nobody wants to bring it up.
No different than what has happened at LT, but because it was a lesbian thing, it is passed off as ok.

When a man is involved, it's scandalous. When women want to have sex with younger student athletes they coach who are women, it is ok.
Sounds fair to me, right?
