Though it still feels like he is flying a bit under-the-radar as far as elite players go, Knox does it all game after game for E1T1, a big step up from his status as a high-energy rebounding machine last season. The smooth swingman has improved every part of his game since last summer, looking much more comfortable putting the ball on the floor and scoring off the bounce. Knox said he wanted to show people he could be more of a guard with his added skills and so far he has done just that, blossoming into one of the country’s prolific scorers while remaining the qunitessential team player. If he can carry E1T1 into Peach Jam with the somewhat undersized, undermanned unit they have now, he has to be considered a strong contender for this award come July.

Priority Duke recruit. Made at least two unofficial game visits last season. Very underrated player.

I can't quite figure out how he is considered underrated when he has 20 high major scholarship offers and is rated a 5 star recruit. Can you get rated any higher?

Fast rising is a better description than underrated. Brandon Ingram was a top 5-10 recruit last year who was underrated. Too skinny to be higher rated, but extremely skilled and polished and now a potential number one overall pick. Knox isn't as skinny as BI, but also not as skilled yet either. More athletic though.

Surprised that Georgia's Wendell Carter hasn't shown up on Cuonzo's radar yet. Excellent student and thick enough to bang with NBA bigs as a high school junior.

He's a Nike guy according to that tweet. Will it make a difference that Cal is a UA school?

Was a little concerned that Cuonzo was adding too many 2017 complementary role players early, but he's on some huge fish (McCoy, Carter, Knox, Brown, Washington) now. Doesn't have room/won't get all of them, but one or two ultra elite potential OADs and he's off to the races.

Cuonzo's a good guy and a sharp guy and he has a very good feel for how to build a roster in the OAD era. Recruiting nationally allows him to get the right cultural fit athletically and academically for Cal. Lots of transfer names associated with Cal, but Cuonzo honed on best fit/need and didn't waver.

Like Sonny too, but he seems to be scrolling down the QB wish list somewhat haphazardly. Cuonzo's got a much more targeted approach.

Lot of moving parts with Carter and Trent. Duke's dream class would be Bamba, Carter, Knox, Trent, and a PG. If Duke gets both Bamba and Carter (not likely), Chase Jeter probably transfers mid-season. Jeter will likely be ninth in the 2017 Duke rotation behind Giles, Jefferson, and Bolden. Jeter's from Vegas and likely knows all the Cal 2017 Vegas targets.

Trent plays with Tre Jones (2018), Tyus Jones' little brother and long considered a Duke lean.

Jeter has never impressed me....I saw him as a high school senior and could not for the life of me figure out why he was rated so high....very passive player in my opinion....
