Current: $70 million
2016-2017: $89 million
2017-2018: $108 million

That is why Kevin Durant supposedly will and Lebron James insists on sticking to 1-year deals through next year, because the cap explodes after that.

Damn!!!! Thx

Unlike Kobe, LeBron didn't give himself his nickname.

Curry's current Under Armour deal is for $200 million....that said, Warriors probably max him since there will be tons of room with the cap increase.

Isn't the max a % of the cap?

Warriors are in trouble tonight:

Lebron has won his last 9 game 2s after a game 1 loss (longest streak ever). He'll find a way to win this one at the end.

Livingston's been interviewed non-stop these past 3 days and the pressure will get to him.
The rest of the bench will show why they're not starters and why the team typically gives up points while Curry's out of the game.
The refs will continue to let Cleveland mug Curry and Thompson in the interest of keeping things close, causing the Warriors to unravel mentally.
Cleveland will be playing loose since everyone expects them to lose.

You mean the ref who is so bad it seems he is on the take? We know that could never be true in the NBA, right?

Seriously, I can't believe the NBA standards are so low that they would allow this clown anywhere near a finals game.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/2008/07/14/disgraced-former-nba-referee-tim-donaghy-phone-calls-to-second-ref-raise.html

Donaghy made 134 phone calls to foster during the time period that he confessed to betting on games. Records show that a majority of these calls were made immediately after games officiated by either refs. The calls to foster also often times immediately followed a call to donaghys bookie.

How did he even keep his job after the Donaghy fiasco?? Those phone records are pretty damning in my opinion...not enough to charge criminally but surely enough to oust him from his job....what say you lawyers??

The three point shot is too demoralizing to overcome. Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said recently, "They can score nine points in 30 seconds. You can be 12 up and then it's three in 45 seconds. We have to live with the tough shots they make." Stick a fork in Cavs. Boy, the weakness of the East really misled the Cavs and their fans. The Commish is going to have to make a couple of phone calls to make sure things get "balanced" at the next two games in Cleveland. The Warriors fans leaving early speaks volumes about them and how they are not representative in any way of Oakland. They want to get back to Palo Alto and Orinda as quickly as they can.

Who's in trouble? Dimitrig, is that you?

The Warriors' 48 point victory margin through the first 2 games is an NBA finals record.

Wow, thx for that. I had looked up largest finals losses and the Cavs were within site of the spurs 36 point win over Miami. I think at one point the W's were ahead by 33.
Lebron has some interesting stats on him. Maybe he's like a modern day Wilt Chamberlain.

I am very surprised at these results. It's too easy for the Warriors.
Will be sad to see them go to SF, but quite interesting how that section of the city is being transformed just the same.

Curry withdraws his name from 2016 Olympic team... sighting injuries.. (recovery of knee).

Recall his layup at end of game 7 OKC, to end half and his tumble to ground.. he got up holding his knee.

2015, playing into June...
2016, playing into June.. long seasons take their toll on body.

Yeah, I saw that this morning, and I was super relieved. He needs time off to let his body recover. He doesn't need the Olympics to build his brand, because his brand is red-hot already.

On that play, he got up holding his *left* knee. Which was a relief to me, because the sprain vs. Houston was in his right knee.

Yeah but nobody's woofing. Just talking about the record-setting margin of victory in the first two game are not an indication of a team that's in trouble, even for just game two.

The Cavs have no shot with their current strategy. They might want to look to OKC for some inspiration - play Mozgov and Thompson to dominate the glass and keep the Warriors from scoring at will in and around the paint. It might not work. Hell, it probably won't. But it's better than what they are trying now.

Not to toot my own horn, but just saw this on Sportscenter:

Cavs by Lineup Size this Finals:

Big: 51% of plays, +1 Point Differential, Warriors shooting 43% FG
Small: 49% of plays, -49 Point Differential, Warriors shooting 62% FG

Big was defined as more than one "big" on the floor. Small was defined as one "big" on the floor.
MoragaBear

I think that has more to do with who's on the floor late in the game when the Warriors are hardest to control and have been making their runs all postseason.

I'm not sure I understand your point. The two games have not been close, and so who has been on the floor late in the games have been the scrubs.

Anyways, I was being a bit facetious: It's an incredibly small sample size, and as your post sort of alludes to, the stat is far too simplistic to understand what matchups were occurring at the time Cleveland had a "big" or a "small" lineup.

I still think their only shot to make this a series is to look to OKC and go big.
