I'm not as sold on this as others appear to be. There is zero skills development under Calipari and basically we are getting the same guy that came outta high school 3 years ago with the added feature of no academic development either (remember the "that doesn't happen at Kentucky" when Kravish left practice in a hurry for class?) He has talent but we'll never be able to play him at the end of the half or game. He has so much ground to make up on diet, conditioning, free throw shooting, and post moves.
IMHO, Marcus Lee has enough talent to start on most teams in the Pac 12, and he will have until November of 2017 to work on "diet, conditioning, free throw shooting, and post moves". I hope the rumours are correct about him coming to Cal especially after Matthew's decision to leave.
Do you have any inside info on his lack of academic development? I understand that UK admits students with lower teast scores and gpas compared to Cal, but in most cases it is up to the individual to take advantage of whatever educational opportunities are available. I really think it is way off base to heap "academic" crap on a young man who is considering attending Cal on a public forum. Although I take issue with your characterization of his level of basketball skills, I have no issue with your right to express an opinion regarding his skill level.
