I am hoping for Lou Richie. To me that completes the puzzle _IF_ Jones has kept his so cal contacts fresh. I like O';Toole a lot as well but I might have considered going a different direction there (bringing in, for example, one of Enfeld's so cal recruiters as the Associate HC so that guy was getting a raise/promotion. Right now USC is crushing so cal recruiting - Cal needs to do so as well.
In other news, did you know that the cost of attendance at USC has now punched through the 70K a year barrier? Seriously, who is paying that much for a BA???!!????

Can't imagine assts are stoked when someone gets a plum job simply by delivering their kid. Cuonzo's Mizzou staff is not very impressive and sense potential assts now realize that 2 tournament appearances in 9 years at three schools may not be a coach on the way up anymore. Wyking and O'Toole are better than any of Cuonzo's Mizzou assts. Remains to be seen who Cal's third asst (Midgley?) and S&C coach are, but very possible Wyking has a better staff than Cuonzo despite a lower salary pool and a higher cost of living.

Will Richard Midgley be Cal's third announced assistant coach? Richard Midgley was a Cal basketball team standout through 2006. This California Alum has also assembled a great qualifications for the Cal Job. His resume features play in England professional leagues, great prep and AAU head coaching success, and a recent term working as the NBA Atlanta Hawks Western States College Scout. These career positions provide Richard with the background and opportunity to succeed as an assistant coach at California. His unique set of experiences and qualifications set him apart from other aspiring coaching candidates. Richard's professional international experience should be predictive of success for him and California identifying and securing commitments from the young European prospects who want to pursue achieving both academic and athletic success at the most competitive level in the United States.

U$C (the University of Spoiled Children) was always like that, relative to the current state of real inflation (especially among the 1%, which is maybe a difference, since the 1%'s money is so much more than anyone heretofore ever imagined was possible). It was in fact always notorious as a place where rich kids who weren't interested in whatever might be involved in actual higher learning went essentially learn to maintain their status.

Nope. Dead on. When I was looking at colleges in '78-79 USC had no deadline. I asked the recruiter, "So someone can show with a check on the first day of class and be admitted?" The answer was,"Yes".south bender;842829586 said:

Agree. We subbed a lot and no one really played crazy minutes yet we seemed to wear out more than opponents.
