I haven't been following closely - and please do not post up the obligatory comment about the NCAA being horrifically corrupt and not likely to sanction zona -- has the NCAA indicated how it wants to proceed here? Are they waiting till the feds finish so they don't compromise either the criminal investigation (and/or give folks the out that they can't talk because of the ongoing federal case?)

The NCAA has an agreement with the FBI to not interfere in this while there are trials still going on. Some "permission" was given to the ncaa to start investigations a couple of months ago after the pleas and resolutions in a few of the cases. But, Mark Emmert has been forthcoming that the ncaa's role in sanctioning programs will be slow and last well beyond this season. And since there are still trials going on, I wouldn't expect to hear anything from the ncaa for a long while.

I feel that we increasingly live in a society where it's okay to lie cheat and steal.
This NCAA news has been going on a really long time, and we've debated it here. You think it'll change but it doesn't. A coach here or there gets slapped but overall the train continues down the track. Violators are brazen. As are surrounding officials. The NCAA doesn't prosecute itself, so the FBI is involved? Congress even allows for this monopolistic behavior.
