But this definitely is a fit !!!

Remember that time Shocky ate a sundae and then went dumpster diving with gypsies in SF?!?! Come on guys, celebrate the man!!!
Clearly, all the wins of the past years are directly attributable to Shocky and all the losses since are attributable to his absence...SBGold said:
Seriously, he owned CT over the years. I'm shocked CT is still here.
Our team was better with a Monster Thread and Shocks. Bring them back

ct, you just don't like him cuz he clowned you hard like 20 times over the years
Lol. Yes, I suppose you are, lol.KenBurnski said:
He wrote about recruiting in an accessible fashion. I've never been too invested in recruiting news but his gonzo posting style was compelling to me. Yes, I'm a dumb azz.
I agree with a lot of this and yes....as the dad of a daughter his stuff was WAY over the top and I often chided him about that (a lot). Funny thing is that I think the recruits, who Shocky thought he was speaking to, are a lot more woke than him.concordtom said:True!dal9 said:

But he clowned me because I stood up to him and pointed out his BS. So, I took his abuse as a stand for a principle.
When he FIRST got started, he used to ask me to help him. (I predate him here.)
He'd say, "hey, I don't know how to post pictures. Can you post photos of stuff for our recruits?"
So I posted something from Hitchock's movie The Birds for Jabari Bird.
He liked it and kept asking me. I obliged for a good while. He and I PM'd each other, and he explained why he was doing what he was.
He became more aggressive over time, pushing the envelope more and more. I eventually grew weary of posting images for him as his lackey, and so I stopped and he took over. He started posting pics of girls that were distasteful. He suggested that recruits could get these girls. I began to get upset, as he was providing irresponsible suggestion to these teen boy recruits. I've known rape victims, and I have 5 daughters, and he went too far, and then just going. So I spoke out, and the feud was on.
I feel particularly vindicated in the years that have followed. The MeToo movement is wide and strong and justified. Shocky represented the values of a long ago era, which is a shame, because he's not that old and should know better.
There was a time I ran into at a game, and I nearly introduced myself. But it was quickly apparent to me that he was a bit odd, so I held back. We ended up walking and talking together toward the parking garage, and by the end of that 5 minutes I was glad I did not identify myself. Dude was just "off". My impression. Others have disagreed with me.
You can make of our spat what you will. But I'm comfortable with it. And we punked each other more than 20 times. Sometimes it got nasty and mgmt would insert themselves and tell us to calm down. In the end, neither of us were perfect. But I'm still here, and he is not. So there's that. Not that there's any award for me. Some prize, right?
(Hey, did I just punk myself?)
Yeah, when you put it that way, it's pretty damn funny, isn't it!KenBurnski said:
CT was an intern for the Monster Thread. Shocky is still making me laugh without even posting new content. Incredible.
Thank you.socaltownie said:

I think the team record has more to do with that rather than Shockey being gone .socaltownie said:As the song goes, you don't know what you missed till it is gone.concordtom said:I'm so disappointed in you.socaltownie said:
The 2-year experiment without the Monster Thread SUCKS.
I complianed about him. I never will. We need Shockey back.
You've been MIA all year and now this?
There's some pornhub for you if you need some more titilation. Or was it the hottie death threads that had you hooked?
Edit, I'm being hyperbolic and harsh. But seriously? SoCal, have you forgotten his misery so soon? Don't answer. I can't bear to hear it.
He made the board worth visiting. I have been SOMEWHAT MIA because this season has SUCKED to wallow through. Sockhy's porn stick made me sick and I told him that (a lot). But some of the other stuff - especially the Altman and Donut boy thing were gold. Lets face it, the one thing we don't have right now on the board is ANYONE trying to be funny and lighten what has been a VERY depressing slog.
That about sums it up. I guess I would also endorse the adjectives "insecure" and "immature." He was a terrible representative of the university.Basketball Bear said:

Oh yes, let's bring back the guy who referred to at least two different Cal women's sports teams as "dumb azz b*tches"...
Let's bring back the middle-aged man wearing pink button-down shirts (far too close to red for my taste) while sitting courtside, who desparately craved relevance by quoting 2-year old Drake lyrics and feigning close relationships with star players.
Bill was/is a miserably insecure individual whose "inside scoops" were predictably riddled with inaccuracies and falsehoods.
He left because his kids all stayed home and went to ASU.Bobodeluxe said:
He wasn't banned. The youngest ever to play the top 100 golf courses, also.
my two little kids are in the other room watching tv right now*... they'd be playing video games, but they're too lazy to move a joy stick... i'd LOVE it if they eventually graduated from Cal, became wealthy, and let me join them courtside at Haas, which would qualify them as "decent human beings", in my book... what's a little narcissism, really?FuzzyWuzzy said:That about sums it up. I would have thought that in the #metoo and Trump era his schtick would play even more poorly than it did just a few years ago. So I find it very surprising that he still has such support here.
For me, he's the perfect example of what I wouldn't want my kids to grow up to be like. And my standards are not that high. I just hope someone would be a decent human being, which he wasn't. I'm glad he was banned and hope he doesn't come back.
