Suarez with 4 TO's in first quarter,
Nice to see King getting some run.

agreed, some refs are bad but almost universally they are not biasedRedlessWardrobe said:
Lulu gets tomahawked on drive to the hoop and the ref just looks at it. Horrible. And Shocky , just because there's a game where the refs aren't calling it even, it doesn't necessarily mean the have a "bias" against one team. Sometimes they're just plain bad.
I disagree. It was a flop IMO. No one falls with the upper part of one's body first like that. Kayla didn't hit her hard enough for that type of reaction. I wouldn't have called anything there.Shocky1 said:
cal's pg just intuitionally tried to run threw the wildcat post player causing her to fall backwards & almost become concussed
that would be a technical with most refs, the bears lucky to only get a common foul
that's a dumb azz take, the wildcat wuz in concussion protocol the rest of the game & never returnedBear8995 said:I disagree. It was a flop IMO. Let me clue you in. Arizona was determined not to let our 3 point shooters go hog wild. What Charmin did was switch to a 4 guard lineup that was able to negotiate several good lobs into Michele. Michele scored the points, but in the half court offense our guards looked sharp on their passing more often than not.Schroeder71 said:
I was wrong on the outcome but most of the issues that I discussed happened. I have not watched the game, yet. I'll watch it tonight. It appears that Cal dominated inside because Arizona's top scorer and rebounder, 6-4 Cunningham, DNP! Onyiah took advantage as high scorer and rebounder of the game. Bears won at the free throw line. The Wildcat's defense forced 21 turnovers and held 3 of the Bear's 4 double-digit scorers on the season to single digit points. For the third consecutive game, they shutdown Krimili. She only had a single basket!
I'm looking forward to seeing how Cal drew so many 'Zona personal fouls. Also, I cannot believe that Maul turned her game around and contributed a key ten points to the victory. It appears that Charmin sat Suarez to send her a message that she is responsible for her actions (turnovers) out there
Bears are 7-1. GO BEARS!.
With all due respect, coming to conclusions based on stats only without watching the game isn't really the best approach.Schroeder71 said:
I think that you have it reversed. Arizona's best player, their center, did not play so the Wildcats used a four guard lineup. Charmin Smith responded to their lineup and that is probably why Ackerman did not play and Suarez was not needed to rebound. I haven't watched the game yet but the Bears had 21 turnovers that led to 25 Wildcat points. How can you state that our guards looked sharp on their passing with horrific stats like that? Cal has in excess of 20 turnovers for at least the last four consecutive games.
