Puff is still listed as out, as is KK Bransford, 5'11" guard, ND's 4th leading scorer who has been out since December 11. Leah Macy is also listed as OUT, but I believe she has missed the whole season.

Both teams will be going with six player rotations. I think that Cal has a chance to pull an upset if they can contain the Fighting Irish superstar.

Cal will also call upon Naya, Lola and Claudia. Just like the Stanford game. That's eight.
Btw, the statistics keeper has not updated the 21st game vs Stanford.
I was thinking that Cal had six players that potentially can score in double-figures. Lola Donez & Claudia Langarita don't contribute much to the offense.

From a Cal WBB Instagram post earlier today, it's Lola's birthday today. So, maybe she'll do some scoring tonight.

Cal leads by 10 at halftime, 43-33. ND is not a strong rebounding team but Bears are not screening off the boards. The Fighting Irish has 8 more offensive rebounds than Cal and has forced five more TOs. The result is that Notre Dame has had 36 shots versus only 22 for Cal. They have missed some easy shots, and I don't know that we can continue to shoot 64% from the floor. Barnes stepped on Walker's heel and hurt herself. Hopefully, she can return in the second half. ND is playing tough defense. I'm surprised that the Bears have scored 43 points against them.

She earned a hard-fought double-double with 18 points and 10 assists. All four players that had double figures were key as was Lola Donez with a career high 9 points.

Cal is shooting the lights out...even though -14 in FGAs and -8 in O-boards.
But shooting 64%, 6-7 on 3s and 9-11 FTs covers up for those.
My fear is ND cranks up the D and the Bears have droughts...

Mainly by the bigs. The 2 post offense has to be -10. Naya continues to show why she doesn't get playing time against strong teams. Lola saved the day. Mjracle slowed down Hidalgo, ran the offense efficiently and provided energy. Gisela had another solid game including two critical 3's to stop their momentum

gisella maul is playing lockdown d along with scoring 16 points & is a legit contender for the acc's most improved player award
it's a shame that this FUN college women's basketball program is not growing the fanbase particularly with students which is critical for building a pipeline to future season tix buyers/donors (nil supporters) but that just validates the truth that just winning basketball games won't fill up the stands at haas pavilion without innovative targeted marketing campaigns in today's 6 second market economy
and that's never gonna happen with the current co athletic director ****tards jay & jenny (each making just south of $500,000 at a time of serious budget challenges in berkeley) who have worked against both the football & basketball programs for years

Solid win - main concern is Taylor Barnes and how long she will be out. Cal is running out of bodies...hopefully Puff can come back in the next week or so - this is the 5th or 6th week for her.

I'll add one point: when Cal can break the paint, their offense is so much better. Perimeter passes and risky entry passes only get you so far...

Another fun night at Haas. An incredibly gritty performance especially considering losing Taylor. Lola -- the birthday girl -- came through big time, her late three sealed the deal. Fantastic work from everyone and credit to the coaches. This team has real character and has learned how to play down the stretch. That's two games in a row where they held together in the 4th quarter. Amazing shooting night, over 70 per cent on threes. Good crowd too. Hoping for good news on Taylor. And oh by the way...Go Bears!!!
