The Cal men's team overwhelmed the Furd. Our women didn't fare as well but it was a close score. Always a good feeling when we beat down a Furd team.

Some very cool BIG MEET RECORDS BROKEN!!!

Cal's Amari Turner broke the pole vault mark of Furd's Katerina Stefanidi from 2011.
Amari jumped 14-03.25

(that jump is just 2 inches away from Amari's school record!)

Cal Mens 4 x 100m Team runs 39.46 for a new Big Meet Record.

Cal's NCAA leading Hammer Thrower Rowan Hamilton thew 244-3 for yet another Big Meet Record.

Cal did not want this meet on a Tuesday, but 'furd (which hosted the meet) did. So Cal made the best of it as it's a key workout day that allows them to more or less stay in the flow of their training schedules.

Note :Katerina Stefananidi (greece)won the gold medal in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Amari has improve so much in the last couple of years. Congrats to the men & women TF teams for their performances..

That's what I was told by someone either on (or coaching) the team. Don't want to name drop here.

I'm thinking because Pac-12 championship is this weekend (Fri-Sun) they wanted to give the athletics last Tuesday as latest day they would accept in order to gave the athletes enough recovery time. If it was this past Sat ..not enough rest. Unsure why some earlier Sat couldn't be arranged. Remember this is an Olympic Year which would have an impact on their training too.
