Yes I really hope the powers that be at Cal reassess these types of meets. You want to build your fan base you got to have your meets accessible.

If this was my primary sport of interest, then I might have decided to pay the price. However, I follow quite a few Cal teams and, in this case, I'm a novice fan that enjoys the growth and the improvement of the program. For the casual fan, that price is too high. GO BEARS!

I couldn't even find live scoring option I wasn't worried about watching the live stream video and I'm surely not going to pay $24.99 for 2 hours.
JTfromclash I think this is just called a rebuilding year, but you're right I hope ondine shows up. Don't think a top four finishes is out of the question, but we really need to ramp up those scores.

Ondine is not gonna do AA this year. I'd be surprised if she does 2 events really. She ahead of schedule rehabbing from a major surgery. Coach Howell did an interview recently where he indicated she might compete Sun 23rd. But no way is Cal gonna push her into doing a lot so soon. The eMjae-Ondine one two punch next year will lead the squad next year.

Seems to me that our four AA have to be a bit more consistent and push up their scores a lil for us to return to the Final 4 level. Everyone else are still pretty new to competing at the NCAA level. Maybe the squad starts to peak at the right time. Still a few more meets to go.

From an outsider's perspective, this meet seems like just what this squad needed. Ten gymnasts competed, giving valuable meet experience on the road to gymnasts that may be called upon later in conference season due to injuries to top competitors.

Disappointing that we couldn't watch, but we will have plenty of opportunities to watch as the season goes on. The ESPN app and ESPN+ are your friends.

Ccajon2-I always visit the other team's websites to see if they have coverage. Both the other teams had live stats available. I don't know why Cal didn't offer the same.

This is not a rebuilding year. This is the senior season for 3 of our 4 best gymnasts. Entering the season, I was thinking that this had to be the year since the Bears finished #2 a year ago. The top four AAs need to raise their scores and consistency (as has been stated) and hopefully Ondine could help add to the team scores.

Newish to the gymnastics squad. Question about the 3/14 and 3/16 quad meets at Haas.1) 3/14 vs ASU, BYU and UW. 2) 3/16 vs ASU, Furd, and SJSU.

It seems like a lot in a short time! Why so close together? Do they rest the AA's some? Is it so close together to prep how the NCAA tournament meets will go?

Yes I recall we speculated some of our AAs might rest a bit last year but they didn't. Our four AA are all veterans so maybe this year we do see them rest on a couple of events?
