It's about safety and staffing. It's about having too many patients and not enough doctors and nurses which affects the quality of care provided. As I have said before the pandemic doesn't help as you would be hard-pressed to find someone working in medicine who isn't exhausted and stressed at all levels of employment after the last two years. The amount of human suffering and death that has been seen over the last couple of years takes its toll on those tasked with providing treatment. It doesn't help when Kaiser was estimated to have made $6 million a day during the pandemic and is holding cash reserves of $44 Billion as a nonprofit which would place them 34TH on the Forbes Fortune 500 list if they weren't classified as a nonprofit.MinotStateBeav said:

"Come on man!"
Funny that you think you can plug nurses from another country into the U.S. healthcare system. First, there are licensing and vaccination requirements that would have to be resolved and I'm not talking about COVID vaccinations. Both licenses and vaccines would have to be verified. Did the nurses from another country take the same classes as US nurses? What are the visa issues that need to be resolved? How are you going to test the knowledge of the Canadian nurses who apply? Are they going to need to take a licensing exam to confirm their medical knowledge of U.S. medicine? It is difficult for a US citizen to work in Canada and requires time and a lot of paperwork before you can get approval. That's just a few of the administrative issues that need to be resolved before Canadian nurses could even step through the door. Then you would have workplace dynamics to contend with. Canadian nurses taking jobs from U.S. nurses. I can tell you that from observing nurses, they are protective of each other and interlopers will not be tolerated. The Canadian nurses will be shunned and told "you should know how to do that you have a license and it's not my job to teach you." If a Canadian nurse made a mistake and a patient was injured or died you can't imagine the shyte storm that would be created and pressed by the unions. The cost associated with bringing in foreign nurses is prohibitive when housing, agency fees, and salaries are factored in. All of the above will have to be resolved to bring in foreign nurses for 2 to 4 weeks before the strike is resolved. Why would Canada who is having its own nursing shortage give the okay for Canadian nurses to come to the U.S. instead of using their vaccine mandate, possible unemployment, money, and time to force their nurses to get vaccines to resolve their nursing shortageBearForce2 said:Quebec faces nursing shortage in advance of suspending thousands of unvaccinated nurses https://t.co/mew2Dajp37

Everything we do is good for us but screws the working class. Sorry for those gas prices, housing prices, food prices, etc etc etc.
they don't bother us rich liberals. And sorry they're closing the Walgreens you need for your neighborhood due to absolutely insane de-criminalization of theft by libtards in big cities.
Remember everything is Trumps fault, now let Nancy go maskless and eat her ice cream while you wear your mask and serve her.

Yes, Democratic states are more productive and wealthy. That is a good thing.
Price swings on the economy began under Trump. The first swing under Trump's Covid mismanagement was economic collapse. The current swing under Biden is an uneven rebound.
You are just ignoring everything before Biden because Trump's economy was indefensible.

Just as Trump and his followers have corrupted the Republican Party. All political parties evolve over time. I think the polling is clear about which party has evolved away from the American public and lost a significant amount of their political base.BearForce2 said:"I didn't leave the Democratic party; the Democratic party left me." - Ronald ReaganEastern Oregon Bear said:If you walk like a Republican, talk like a Republican, act like a Republican, praise Republicans, blame Democrats for everything and selectively point to Republican Talking Points repeatedly, you're a Republican, despite what you may think.NVBear78 said:dajo9 said:

Hint: It's the one filing fruitless election lawsuits, drafting dozens of election "reforms" to discourage the wrong people from voting and passing unpopular laws like the Texas abortion ban while they can still do so.

The murder rate across states is comparable if you take out blue cities. Everyone talks about Chicago violence, no one talks about St. Louis or New Orleans, good grief.
