What a truly stupid and inaccurate straw man take.

You not only follow dumb crap like that, but then think that it is vital that we all have to see everything you agree with on the internet?

Should I start posting every great recipe I see? Or my daughter's soccer scores? Or my grandparent's fecal log? Actually, all three would be more interesting and accurate than your "Oh goodie! One of my online twitters made a funny!@ own the Libs no matter how much it doesn't actually own the Libs?

I'm not sure it was possible to make both the Russian government AND the Wagner Group look weak at the same time, but they managed it.

I would suggest that this is just the 1st round in the Putin/Prigozhin "love" affair.

As Unit2sucks suggested above, Russia was so vulnerable that another country could have walked right in, bombed the hell out of Moscow and taken over within 48 hours.. But no one gives a rat's arse about their ****hole of a country.

Those "weak" sisters have neutered NATO, the EU, Ukraine is in shambles, taken the most valuable slice of Ukraine, and depleted the world's supply of ammo.

Yes, NATO is so neutered that it added Finland.

I'm not sure it was possible to make both the Russian government AND the Wagner Group look weak at the same time, but they managed it.

They've nipped a crisis in the bud and avoided bloodshed, neutralizing a serious coup attempt. Instead of a bloody, potentially demoralizing longer confrontation with Wagner troops, they've ended the crisis very rapidly and sidelined coup leaders. The Russian air force could have turned the Wagner convoy into something like "Highway of Death" of retreating Iraqis from Kuwait, but instead avoided a fratricide massacre.

I'm sure you would have preferred large explosions and lots of bloodshed in Moscow and Rostov in a long fight, but it didn't turn out that way.

Doesn't your Porsche come equipped with mirrors?

Seriously though, why the aggro response, ML's post was on point, Russia has handled all that NATO could throw at it, emptying their arsenal, without much skipping a beat. And that point was stated succinctly, with zero hostility, you shouldn't have been triggered if you had a basic level of emotional maturity. .

Sure, let's trade ridiculous, one-sided spins:

I think the GOP exposing Biden, Feinstein and Pelosi as doddering old fools may backfire, as it will open up the landscape up for the next generation: Newsom, Jeffries and Porter. Colonel AunBear89 claims the Dems have much more they can use / reveal.

From what I'm able to get from media it seems Russian warlord Prighozin's whereabouts are unknown. If he goes to Belarus without his army I'd give him the advice to watch his back and stay away from windows in tall buildings. If he does that, this is not a negotiated settlement - it is a surrender by Prighozin.

But not necessarily a victory for Putin. A direct threat to his authority and there is no punishment for that other than for the warlord and his army to stand down and go away.

The Wagner force is supposed to be folded into the Russian army which is great news. The Wagner force is the only part of the Russian military network that has been able to pull off any kind of offensive advance. According to the agreement, it will be no more.

All involved on the Russian side are weaker for this episode. The top warlord in Moscow and his subordinate warlords.

Tbh, Prigozhin was Russia's most capable leader on the battle field. Having him be sidelined for the rest of the war (forever?) is going to hurt them overall. He's the only one that went to the front lines with his troops to raise morale. Kind of reminds me in WWII when they sidelined Patton. Yes Patton did some bad stuff...but Patton was popular with the troops overall and raised morale despite the striking the ptsd soldier in a hospital. There's a reason they brought him back despite all that he had done.
dajo9
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yes, Patton was problematic but he never directly committed treason like warlord Prighozin did.
dajo9
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Interesting to hear warlord Prighozin talk about how the Russian oligarchs operate. That is Trump's vision for America. That is why Trump and Putin align so well.

All the cultural stuff is just to dupe the rubes for votes. Trump could care less about abortion, trans, etc. It's about the billionaire class dividing people so they can take over the world.

Not only that, but the consequences of the war were very clearly brought home. Putin had to give a speech to warn locals about the insurrection. They were destroying roads around Moscow to stop the advance. It's also pretty clear that they NEEDED a negotiated settlement because the Russian military proper was not going to be able to hold off Wagner before they reached the capital.

Not to mention that when a war is going well for them, countries don't tend to have major infighting between opposing factions. Russia's weakness has been laid bare for its own citizens.

It is going to be really fascinating to see how Russia's criminal war morphs without Prigozhin. Wagner is a criminal terrorist org but it's also the only part of Russians invasion effort which has any semblance of a functional command and control structure. If they simply fold Wagner into the MOD, they will lose all of that. But perhaps they keep it somewhat separate to continue the even more criminal way that Wagner operates compared to the Kremlin.

And it's pretty clear that Russia and its propagandist shills will just pretend that this whole thing never happened, that Wagner didn't shoot down Russian aircraft, that Russia didn't target Wagner with air strikes and that Wagner didn't easily take Rostov and march toward Moscow with lots of support from MOD sources and erstwhile propagandists hoping for a change in fortunes in this losing war effort.

More on Russian morale after Prigozhin's "deal".

This is the post of an unhinged, out of touch Boomer who pepper sprays jaywalkers...

You're confirming your lack of emotional maturity here, and also proving that you don't have to be from flyover country to be a redneck. You can drive a Porsche and be a Cal grad while still being a redneck.

Being a redneck and being gullible goes together, you think you're helping Ukraine when you're in fact destroying it, to the last Ukrainian. As if Lindsay Graham or Victoria Nuland gave a rat's ass about Ukraine...

Prigozhin was more like a CEO than a general, he has no military background, so the comparisons with Patton or Rommell, who were military genuises, is not apt.

He was a bright dude with huge political ambitions, and a loose cannon. He will now be sidelined. I would guess they purge his power base from Wagner and replace him with "reliable" officers.
