Seems like there's a serious attempt to squash a peace deal by people who would financially take a hit from no more war. Plot twist: Ukraine is going to lose a major city on the coast if this war keeps going. If Ukraine loses access to the sea, the country is in a real crises of not being able to financially support itself in the future.

If people want to point out corruption in Ukraine, then it's fair to point out corruption on the US or Russian sides too.

The same people who want to point out American corruption had no problem with giving Ukraine endless funding with ZERO oversight, despite people in congress begging for it. Sorry but I am skeptical of articles pointing out Trump corruption and taking it seriously with how much was falsely attributed to him in the last 10 years. Maybe it's true, but I'll let it play out before I'm investing energy into being outraged.

Trump corruption is quite obvious and in-your-face in a lot of places, you just don't want to see it.

Questioning spending on Ukraine is fair game. Again, I just say you should follow corruption on all sides.

Ok if you want to scream in the street, feel free. What does that mean "Follow corruption on all sides"? Corruption is corruption, there shouldn't be sides. But if you want to do the 'sides' argument, only one side is having people sent to prison and the other talks about their corruption without putting anybody in prison, despite having evidence.

The Trump Organization has done business with Russia for a long time. How is negotiating a peace treaty proof of corruption?

It appears President Trump is in the process of resetting (or attempting to) the Western economic and trade system to remove the tentacles of the Globalist left.

A strategic partnership with Russia completely upends the global alliance and financial control system.

Is there anything in the world of geopolitical networks (banking, finance, trade or military) more comprehensively disruptive to the current order of things than the possibility of Russia and the largest, most powerful and anchoring country in the West forming an alliance? Nothing else even comes close.

Think rare earth's, energy, trade, manufacturing. Meanwhile, former Western powers try to prevent two Christian nations working together. These are the same people who wanted to break Russia into 23 smaller countries.

It would be disruptive, but I don't see why that disruption would be inherently good in this case.

Putin knows Trump is a moron that he can manipulate. Do you really believe that Putin suffered 1,000,000 casualties so that people like Trump, his sons and Kusher can wheelbarrow treasure out of the Ukraine over the bodies of fallen Russian soldiers?

Nothing is funnier to me that your complete inability to understand the relatively simple concept that the loser of a war doesn't dictate the terms of the peace agreement.

Continue posting your losses in this thread though. We're all highly amused.

This particular thread is not about the end of the Ukraine war specifically, rather about movielover's assertion that the US should make some kind of major pact with Russia.

Try to keep up, kid. I know it can be hard.

Did I say "deaths?" Words are important. Read more carefully.

In a military context, a casualty refers to a person who is killed, wounded, captured, missing in action, or otherwise rendered unable to serve due to war.

Do your own research. Multiple sources report Russian "casualties" of 1,000,000.

Quote:

"They had this fantasy about imposing a strategic defeat on Russia and all these talking points [EU officials] keep repeating show some of them are still stuck in these illusions. Even though they know, they absolutely know, that ship sailed ages ago and was never realistic in the first place. They just convinced themselves it was true because they wanted to believe it. And now they can't bring themselves to admit they were wrong. They've basically taken themselves out of the whole process. That's the first thing.

"Second. They look at the situation today, don't like what they see, and instead of being helpful, they've started getting in the way of the current US administration and President Trump, who's trying to reach a peace deal through negotiations. They walked away from talks themselves, and now they're blocking Trump too.

"Third. They don't have a peace plan at all. They're openly backing war. And even when they pretend they're proposing "adjustments" to Trump's plan, it's obvious what they're doing: every one of those changes is meant to kill the peace process entirely. They set conditions that they know Russia could never accept, and then the plan is to blame Russia later for the collapse. That's the whole game. And we see it clearly.

"So if they want to come back down to earth and deal with reality as it is on the ground, they're welcome to [join the process]."
