Thomas and Kavanaugh were guilty as charged and everyone knew it. All the questions were related to those allegations of sexual misconduct.*

In the present hearing, they have nothing on Judge Jackson so Republican senators are engaging in buffoonery.

*Do I think time stale accusations of sexual misconduct against Thomas and Kavanaugh were raised for political reasons? Absolutely.

Do I think those allegations would have been raised if the perpetrator and the victim shared the same political philosophy? No way (but the victim would probably secretly hope the perpetrator did not get confirmed).

Do I think Thomas and Kavanaugh would have failed lie detector tests? Oh Yeah.

Do I think they would have given up details of their misconduct that only the perp would know if Det. Vic Mackey interrogated them with the CCTV camera blocked and his service piece jammed against their heads. Hell yes.

1) She is against critical race theory and other progressive ideas about education.

2) She has never taken a public position on school issues like whether young children should be taught about gender identity, and given that there are likely to be cases in front of SCOTUS, she has not opined on the issue, which is SOP these days.

3) As a federal judge, she has a mainstream record, not typical of some other Democratic nominees like Sotomayer.

4) She has often praised law enforcement, and her close family members are police officers.

5) She apparently takes a strict constructionist view on reviewing the Constitution and having the courts defer to the legislature.

This is about as good as it going to get for conservatives from a Biden nominee. The narrative is because she is black she must have certain views. The conservatives would be wise to have her board, as it seems likely she would be part be right of Sotoamayer and more in the middle. Just my two cents.
