Well, the Republicans made millions of Latino Americans feel they didn't belong here. And so they responded by exercising their political power.

How do you feel about Tucker Carlson and Elise Stefanik promoting the great replacement theory? Pride? Disgust?

They don't. This is total BS.

Being against open borders policies (or for that matter, large scale immigration) is not the same thing as adopting the GRT, which is an anti-Semitic/white nationalist trope.

Democrats have been bragging for years that changed demographics - DUE TO IMMIGRATION - would give them political gains.

From Brookings: https://www.brookings.edu/research/states-of-change-2019/

"Demographics are not destiny, but steady and predictable changes to the electorate play an important role in defining the landscape of American politics. Most demographic groups have a political lean, so a group increasing or decreasing in size over time will tend to benefit one party or type of politics over another. The most well-known example is the growth of the nonwhite population in the United States, whichsince nonwhites tend to lean heavily Democraticis typically viewed as tilting the electoral terrain somewhat toward the Democrats over time as well as increasing the weight of nonwhite voters within the Democratic Party over time. But other changes are important, such as the decline of noncollege educated voters, particularly whites; the aging of the adult population; and the rise of new generations to replace older ones."

From politico: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/11/12/2020-election-analysis-democrats-future-david-shor-interview-436334

"For years, the Democratic Party has operated under one immutable assumption: Long-term demographic trends would give the party something like a permanent majority as the country as a whole grows less white and more urban. President Donald Trump's reliance on the politics of racial resentment would only quicken the process, solidifying support for Democrats among people of color."

So with the dems openly promoting demographic change as a means to political power - and then illegally refusing to enforce the borders to make that happen ASAP - is it any surprise that republicans object? Republican objections are based on politics/policy, not race or notions of white supremacy. I note that people from Cuba are non-white, yet republicans would no doubt take more cuban voters.

The dems approach is pretty cynical - stake your political hopes on letting large groups of immigrants in to effect "demographic change" for political reasons, then accuse anyone who objects as being racist/white supremacist.

Predicting that something is going to happen is not the same as making it happen for your own political gain. What have Democrats actually done to create open borders in that time?
Seriously?

DACA, DARPA, reduced deportations/enforcement under Biden, discontinuing multiple trump policies that dissuaded illegal immigration (stay in Mexico and title 42, most notably), discontinuing construction of the border wall, and refusing to reform the broken "asylum" process which is driving the current crisis.

I will also add that any policy which gives illegal immigrants benefits will draw more immigrants.

The dems know a massive surge is coming due to Biden admin's political choice to terminate Title 42. What have they done? Nothing. They could pass a legislative fix in 10 minutes. But won't, despite the fact that many Dems (particularly those in AZ and TX) are begging for Biden to prevent the coming surge.
Just to take the first thing off your laundry list, DACA is not "open borders." DACA is allowing people who have already lived almost their entire lives in America to stay. It was also considered a reasonable, moderate plank of immigration reform until Republicans went all MAGA on us.

That's true of just about everything related to immigration: Democrats propose reforms, then Republicans block everything, including stuff they used to claim they agreed with. Meanwhile, Obama deported more immigrants than anyone. Republicans have a "closed border" policy more than Democrats have an "open border" one.

DACA/DAPA (now corrected) were HIGHLY DUBIOUS executive actions that in effect amounted to not enforcing immigration laws. DACA allowed people who had no legal right to be in the US to remain - an express policy not to enforce border/immigration laws. That is a fact. Whether or not it was a reasonable policy is irrelevant - it was unlawful (in my opinion) and enacted with the intention of procuring votes and future voters. And it attracted more immigrants who understood they would be welcomed by the dems.

The republicans block everything related to immigration is trite and tired. I could play the same game about Dems blocking border enforcement. Both sides refuse to compromise.

Agree with this. But how did those latino americans get here?

Some have been here for generations. Lots came more recently and were naturalized on or after the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Demographic and political change through immigration (legal and illegal). But anyone who points to that fact is a replacement theory racist according to you.

Again: being happy that something is happening does not mean there was a conspiracy to make it happen.

Besides, aren't Trump fans bragging about how well he did in the Hispanic vote? Seems like all these Democratic predictions were faulty then. Pretty weak conspiracy.

Biden knows a surge is coming - what is he doing to stop it? Nothing.
I guess someone forgot to give Kamala Harris the memo.

No! Typical Kamala. She knows not what she says. And when she does say it comes out garbage salad repetition. So no surprise. Please keep Joe on life support (did I really say that).

Moderation in all things is desirable. Sounds like Kamala is crushing it on the Odonto scale by not being too good at stuff.

Needs a trampoline at the bottom to get any spring at all. Surprisingly she is not running the controls on the "telePresident."

You guys are nuts. You really think conservatives/republicans are racists and you crow this when some moron does something that you think supports your point of view and ignore it when some other idiot does something that doesn't not support your point of view.

This is not healthy or good for anybody.

How do you feel about Tucker Carlson and Elise Stefanik promoting the great replacement theory? Pride? Disgust?

What is "replacement theory"? Only people I have ever heard speak of this are Dem's but I don't know what it is supposed to be?

California used to be red...now, if's stone-cold blue.......gee....how did that happen?????

Well, the Republicans made millions of Latino Americans feel they didn't belong here. And so they responded by exercising their political power.

The Democrats also made millions of Latino Americans feel they didn't belong here. See the current red wave among Latino voters.

Who, in your opinion, are the Top 5, Mexican-American republicans?

I don't have an opinion because Tucker/Charlie Kirk/Poso hasn't given me one yet.

I will pretend you are being honest and not just playing typical RWNJ idiot word games. It's called the Great Replacement. It's been around for a while.

https://www.adl.org/resources/backgrounders/the-great-replacement-an-explainer

Since I doubt you will read the link, here are a couple of highlights:

"[The Great Replacement Theory] has its roots in early 20th century French nationalism and books by French nationalist and author Maurice Barres. However, it was French writer and critic Renaud Camus who popularized the phrase for today's audiences when he published an essay titled "Le Grand Remplacement," or "the great replacement," in 2011."

"The "great replacement" philosophy was quickly adopted and promoted by the white supremacist movement, as it fit into their conspiracy theory about the impending destruction of the white race, also know as "white genocide." It is also a strong echo of the white supremacist rallying cry, "the 14 words:" "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." "

And now you know. Knowledge is power. Any thing else I can help you with?
