I attended another Leadership Conference at my company (my travels in and out of Newark airport) and AI was really being pushed on us. "AI won't take all jobs, it will just take the jobs of people who don't use AI".

I was first told the computers are coming for my job about 15 years ago. Still waiting. I'm sure they'll win in the end but that will be a problem for the next generation. I'm already looking at the exits on my terms.

But I do wonder, when they say a job like clerk level accounting will be fully automated in the future, but they will still need human accountants for high level complex accounting - how will people skill up to that level if there are no entry level jobs? It's a cliche for old people to say the future does not look very appealing, but that is where I'm at. A boy asked my daughter to prom over Snapchat.
