All-bot app SocialAI stirs debate over AI-driven social media

*Any suspected BI personalities that are SocialAI creations? My leading candidate is Big C. He falls into the "brutally honest" bot category.

Musk is offering a free Optimus from the Anton line to anyone on record criticizing him or tRump online.

Question of the day:
What year will an AI creation intentionally murder a human?

Will the Antichrist be AI? Deception has always been Satan's modus operandi since the garden.

"Eric Schmidt, the former chairman and CEO of Google, warned on ABC's "This Week" that when an AI system reaches a point where it can self-improve, "we seriously need to think about unplugging it," Axios' Avery Lotz writes.

Why it matters: "I've never seen innovation at this scale," Schmidt told George Stephanopoulos. While Schmidt celebrated "remarkable human achievement," he warned of the unforeseen dangers of rampant development.
Schmidt continued: "The power of this intelligence ... means that each and every person is going to have the equivalent of a polymath in their pocket."

"We just don't know what it means to give that kind of power to every individual," Schmidt added."

A humanoid robot was seen attacking its handler while trying to break free from restraints in a scene viewers have branded 'dystopian'.

Went the way Lenovo and other companies which started out as American, outsourced all their production to China, run into financial difficulties and eventually got bought out by Chinese groups.

Quote:

Segway Inc. is a Chinese owned, formerly American manufacturer of two-wheeled personal transporters, chiefly through its Segway PT and Segway miniPro product lines. Founded by inventor Dean Kamen in 1999, the company's name is a homophone of the word "segue". Wikipedia

……and in a horrifying example of life imitating art:

"In a recent address, Pope Leo XIV identified artificial intelligence (AI) as a major challenge for humanity, particularly concerning the defense of human dignity, justice, and labor. He emphasized that AI's development poses new challenges in these areas.

Pope Leo XIV specifically stated that AI could reshape labor, society, and even how we see ourselves. He stressed the importance of keeping people, not profit, at the center of AI development. He also underscored the need for transparency in AI development, highlighting the ongoing efforts of the "Rome Call for AI Ethics," a joint initiative between the Church and tech leaders.

The Pope's address also touched upon the potential for AI to undermine trust and spread misinformation, echoing concerns raised in a recent Vatican document.

The document warned that AI-generated fake media could gradually undermine the foundations of society, leading to political polarization and social unrest. Pope Leo XIV's message underscores a need for careful consideration of the ethical implications of AI and a commitment to ensuring that it serves humanity's best interests."

I attended another Leadership Conference at my company (my travels in and out of Newark airport) and AI was really being pushed on us. "AI won't take all jobs, it will just take the jobs of people who don't use AI".

I was first told the computers are coming for my job about 15 years ago. Still waiting. I'm sure they'll win in the end but that will be a problem for the next generation. I'm already looking at the exits on my terms.

But I do wonder, when they say a job like clerk level accounting will be fully automated in the future, but they will still need human accountants for high level complex accounting - how will people skill up to that level if there are no entry level jobs? You don't just wake up to that level of expertise.

It's a cliche for old people to say the future does not look very appealing, but that is where I'm at. A boy asked my daughter to prom over Snapchat. They are just friends and it's not a romantic situation (his boyfriend recently broke up with him) but still - get off the screen and man up. She gave him **** for it and rightly so.

Will the Antichrist himself be AI? Will it employ robots for his army? Are we doing to transition into a digital economy and use central bank digital currencies to transact? Are we going to have chips embedded in our hands or foreheads in order to function in society? Is Elon Musk creating the beginnings of the end times?
